actually kelesh means fool in bulgarian
Oh so that’s why spooks was laughing at me…
Also, when you exit Aperture you see a clear sky; A sign that we will actually beat the combine in Half-Life 3
@ Vampire95: Yes because during the reign of the combine there was absolutely no place on earth that had a clear sky
@Vampire:
Yes combine had already been beaten.
EDIT: Yeah, coincident replying with CygNuS.
except not really
But wait, all of Half-Life 2 had a clear sky! And that was during the Combine reign! I’m so confuuuuuuuused!!!
That was in a preview of GameInformer. They, obviously asked Valve employee questions about Portal 2 and wrote an article about it.
When did the preview come out? The interview I quoted was done last March. It’s possible that they said hundreds of years originally, but have now retconned it to be a lot more vague and frustrating.
No it wasn’t, play it again and look up as the first thing you do once you exit the trainstation. Black clouds everywhere.
@geekofalltrades: That preview was a two-page article with an interview of Erik Johnson at Valve. I have a scan dated march 8 2010.
(Unfortunately I can’t attach the file, it’s about 600 KB which is way over the allowed limit)
Yes because when it’s cloudy in Belgium, it’s always cloudy in the rest of the world, too, right?
-.-
There’s black clouds because the Combine blocked the sun to prevent anything from growing…
I love that you guys are complaining about the realism and logistics of a game about making portals. It’s a game it could take place 50,000 years in the future for all we know because its a game, and anything can happen in the land of make-believe. Everything in the Half-Life/Portal universe that isn’t set in stone at this point is up to interpretation.
One thing is for sure, they sure as hell didn’t block your ass to prevent you from pulling all this bullshit out of it.
Stop arguing this topic before everything get worse.

Sure, the trees that actually grows are the kind of trees who grows at winter too, they have no use at all except for looking nice as christmas trees. The green stuff on the hills/cliffs is probably moss who grows in dark areas such as forests. And the orange leaves are orange because the tree is dead and the leaves haven’t fallen off yet. And the sky is cloudy, as we can see.
Or it’s autumn. You said that nothing could grow. First, forgetting that would make the Earth inhospitable without some way to generate breathable air, you see that things are growing. And the sun is not blocked out. It is bright day. If the sun was blocked out, it would be perpetual night. But the sun is shining onto the inn. See the shadows?
Your analytic capabilities are somewhat extraordinary.
