Playstation 2 launched in Brazil.

The government here is a democracy, and therefore is entirely truthful. Why esle would they send soldiers to search my house every week? We’re an open society here in Australia.

Australian History in a nutshell:

Dutch settlers arrive in Western Australia. Discover Perth. Leave and never return.

Captain Cook finds Eastern Australia, thinks it’s pretty fucking awesome. Tells the British.

First Fleet arrives in Botany Bay with convicts. Native population is told to clear off so prisoners can farm.

Australia turns into a colony. Natives that look more brown than black are taught to be white. States argue about rail width and other shit.

Australia federates after having a big meeting and a vote. within 15 years they send soldiers to the wrong beach in World War 1, thereby making them heroes.

Australia takes part in another war, nearly gets its ass handed to it by the Japanese until the Americans arrive.

Australia becomes best buds with the USA. Decides to help kill communists in south east asia. Troops sent there are spat on upon returning, most probably because they landed at the correct locations.

A prime minister gets kicked out of office after reforming nearly everything. People doing a good job are not tolerated in Australian society.

That’s about it until the late 80s, and I’m sure you can pick up from there.

I live in the west and I do see media spewing bullshit at my face day after day. Though it sounds like you assume that some of us are unable to recognize what is truth and lie, if I was one of the people who couldn’t formulate opinions on my own I would probably be here talking about how games are evil and trying to force my views on everyone.

Australian history sounds awesome.

mmm, turbulent.

Pretty much everyone else in the eastern hemisphere besides Japan is a noob though.

This just in:

Brazilians are pissed off about the recent cancellation of Firefly.

Sounds awesome.

Firefly? Recent cancellation in Brazil? Anyone? C’mon, it took me 5 minutes to come up with this joke! :frowning:

ok… I laughed

and yeah… it’s pretty annoying to pay almost 3 times what you pay in US for electronic imports… at least it isn’t 10 times

I like you. You look on the bright side.

I lol’d. Where do you live? Communist China? I can almost guarantee the freedom of speech and information is much easier to come by in the USA (or any other democratic country for that matter,) than wherever you live.

Waaaiiit. Are you trying to tell me that the government of the united states has been lying to me?
That’s impossible, I don’t believe you.

He’s right. You are brainwashed.

No, I think you’re wrong. The government truly cares about my well being and would never lie or misinform me! That’s silly, you’re all silly.

Don’t drink the water, they put something in it. To make you… forget.

the ps2 is a catalyst for political exchange

How is this thread still active?!

Isn’t the Queen still head of state in Australia? Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t that make Australia still part of our empire? Or what remains of it.

And pretty much all the governments in the world lie to some extent.

It hasn’t degenerated into name-calling and three letter insults… yet, just wait for some of our other members to get here.

I hope that is a bad attempt at trolling, or both of you are assuming we all live in the west and are brainwashed.

Between you and me, I think that was a joke. Don’t tell anyone though.

I understand that sarcasm can be hard to detect on the internet, but come on.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
