GMod is stupid and has a lot of bugs.
no, I have no suggestions, except a complete reinstall of gmod and don’t install lots of mods, it makes gmod unstable.
Crap, i have a lot of mods on my account to (not to mention all the useless crap i download and bearly ever use for Garrys mod). How do you even delete mods?

Try doing it in singleplayer, some servers restrict players model for various nonsensical reasons.
Yeah, I know. Sometimes the servers even change your playermodel to keep things simple (or something…).
to keep the NETCODE simpler , simpler= faster
