Pirating VS Buying

I’ve never pirated a game in my whole life. People who make games work their asses off for that cool shit. Especially Steam. The only thing I’ve pirated is a Cracked version of XP. It cracked my activation to where it’s always activated. Only because I ran out of activations and they wanted me to purchase another one. I disagreed and I vow to never purchase from microsoft again. So I use Linux now and it totally beats XP and even windows 7’s ass. I am thankful for not being a pirate to games. Games deserve their money and if I want to just try it out, I’d just get a demo of it or watch a trailer of it.

Pirating is pirating…

^
I can’t pay for that game so I’m going to steal it
See what I did there?

I cant afford to buy every game I want. I buy a ton of games as it is. I buy what I can and then I pirate whatever else I cant afford thats lower on my list. If I really like the game I pirated I make sure I save enough money to buy it once I have the cash.

I have become a hardcore online deal hunter lately though and have been buying a shit ton of games at awesome prices so I have been pirating a ton less.

Do other consider it bad if I bought a game for one platform, then pirated it for another? Fallout 3 and Oblivion I did this for. I own both on 360, but pirated them both for pc recently so I could play some of the mods. Just curious how this is received…

Now that’s what a lot of people should do. If you buy it on 360 then you pirate it on pc just for the mods. I mean, you can’t get mods for a console version. They’re just too limited

Then buy them for PC to start with?

It just doesn’t feel right if it’s not stolen.
Mmmm, hot, chocolatey immorality…

I don’t buy anything for consoles since they’re so limited on just about everything especially addons and mods. That’s why I stick with PC. Plus, you don’t pay to play games online like you do with Xbox Live.

Piratebay is offline again, I wonder where they’re going to move next.

What the fuck is with developer asslicking ITT?
And again those shitty wapanese names…

L2 isohunt / google torrent search

I kinda meant “where is Piratebay going to be hosted next”.

torrentz.com ftw

Piratebay is online again lol. When will these idiots realize that taking down one site isn’t going to change ANYTHING.

Stealing and pirating is the same thing, except for the fact that there are more chances of getting caught if you steal a game from the shop

Society may as well forgot trying to stop piracy. It’s a never ending story and I would like to keep it that way. Especially when that copyright shit don’t even work.

I kinda meant “TPB is shit, so it doesn’t matter”.

HA HA. We will rebel against the Copyright!

aye avast!
hello again pirate bay!

No, it isn’t. Stealing is the acquisition of a physical object that you neither paid for nor that you have permission to retain.

Pirating is the acquisition of a COPY that you neither paid for nor that you have permission to retain. The original is left intact with ownership retained with the original owner.

Stealing = Theft
Pirating = Copyright infringement
