Pirating VS Buying

Sure, you can say that, too. But it’s not a valid comparison.

Again with the patronisation. I DID actually buy Halo for PC, so there. Basically you’re saying “I download bad games”, and then accused ME of rationalising my copyright infringement.

The reason I don’t feel guilt is because I don’t have unlimited funds. I have extremely limited funds, and I prioritise the rest of my life’s pleasures and necessities over many computer games that I often derive limited enjoyment from.

You’re not listening to my argument, you’re turning it into a straw man. I DO know for sure I wouldn’t buy a game, because I don’t have enough money to fork out $120 each for every new release title. I DO buy games when they’re $10-$20, but never, ever when they’re $120. In the interim (which is usually several years), I sometimes download them if I have the bandwidth, or borrow them if I have a friend that has them.

Don’t make judgement calls about my financial situation thanks. Its not bad, I’m still living at home with nice parents to support me, but they don’t support me buying games, and all the money I earn goes towards other things. I simply do not have the money to buy all the games I play, movies I watch and music I listen to, and that’s just a simple fact. If I gave away all of my money and still came up short, would that somehow make things better?

What country do you live in! Canada or Australia or something? $120 for a game! WTf!

Canada doesn’t offer games for 120$. It’s the same price as the US give or take a couple of dollars.

I was gong to say that was a rip off.

Here’s a thought, if you can’t afford something, don’t get it by illegal means.

And if it can’t be located legally, what then? If the game is not available on Steam or it would come packaged with overzealous anti-piracy measures (which pirates have circumvented for your convenience)? If the album is from an obscure defunct British post-rock band that isn’t even available on Amazon?

If you think people should follow the law because it’s the law, you deserve no respect for failing to make these considerations.

Hurf durf I’ve stated that if it is for things like games that can’t be found then it’s okay, and even if such game was being sold you would be able to afford it no problem.

The law is there to not be followed by some people after all :retard:

That rules is meant to be broken mentality is retarded.

I see your sarcasm-O-meter is broken.

but no

Someone is butthurt from their ban.

No, no, we all know who you are. Why so butthurt?

Take care of your anger issues mr butthurt.

Oh! I know who you are! you’re the guy I’m hitting the report button for.

I win!

I’m certain I know who you are. But why? Why come back just to declare how much of a hissy fit you’re having?

Don’t worry boy, just keep doing the tantrum.

You know what would be awesome? If no one actually responded to someone who was blatantly trolling until after they were banned. It would make them look so completely pathetic being ignored by a forum like this.

Hey this guy is insulting me on the internet, I just have to say something about his mom, yeah, that will definitely offend him.

Oh wait, no it won’t, you just proved you’re dumber than the person he was referring to.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
