More new parts :
New Keyboard. Custom colors, font, and icons. MX Cherry Brown switches.
Replacing this piece of shit.
Wow, that’s actually very sweet looking, and it frees up a lot of deskspace. At first I thought you were pimping the monstrous keyboard, and I was gonna compliment the retro-looking one to contradict you, but after reading more closely it seems we have similar tastes.
 My keyboard is also a tenkeyless Cherry MX Brown mechanical board. The lack of the numpad is really, really nice. You’re going to absolutely love that you can center your keyboard in front of the monitor without having your mouse get shoved way the hell off to the side.
Very pleased with it. I’ve only ever typed on rubber domes and shit and never even touched a mechanical board. I still wanted a tactile feel with none of the super clicky bits (Browns are still god damn clicky and I love it) so it feels really good on the fingers.
MY GOD THE LENS FLAIRS!! MY EYES!!
That’s what happens when you don’t spend thousands of dollars on a fancy camera lens for casual use.
Keyboard’s actually really nice. You didn’t want a numpad?
Wanted to conserve a little space. I’ve had that old “surfboard” of a keyboard for so long I wanted something a little smaller. Plus I never use the numpad at home. Only at work.

Awww yiss. This, gentlepersons, is the Acer Predator XB270HU, a 27" 144HZ 1440P G-Sync IPS gaming monitor. Here in time for the four-day weekend.
Tomorrow, I am expecting the GTX 980 Ti that will be driving it.
This ludicrous Black Friday upgrade is brought to you by disposable income. Disposable Income: Get a job, kids. Shit rules.
EDIT:
We’re all about that quality control here at Acer.
Aaaaaand fuck.
Leaky backlight.
EDIT: Amazon are overnighting (!) me a new one. These guys have got this capitalism thing down pat.
So, I’ve got a seat reserved for Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D next week.
For the first time in six and a half years, being single had its advantage. There was one open seat for the seven-o’clock showing when I went to buy a ticket.
Omg, it’s tonight. My little ticket stub is the most important piece of paper to me right now.
Also, I just transferred to a submarine younger than my naval career. Everything is new and shiny.
I remember watching Star Wars for the first time and being terribly disappointed with it. I was expecting something along the lines of 2001 A Space Odyssey and ended up with a kid’s show. Later, I went back and watched it again, knowing it’s simply Sci-Fi entertainment, and I could finally really enjoy it!
Funny how preconceptions can totally frick up a movie, isn’t it?
