Well, they have a lifetime warranty, and it is a reference cooler card, so there should be little variance. I will admit that I don’t know what to do with my 6970 cards now. Suggestions? The 2nd R9 280X card comes some time soon. I’m thinking I will throw the two 6970 cards in a hashing rig (totally legit uses of course ) , but I’m open to thoughts.
If I can’t think of anything I may just strap them with some black powder. Kinda like I did with my 4 GTS 8800 GTS 512 cards. The PCB’s survived mostly btw. Would make a nice July 1st celebration.

My old monitor was starting to get a distinctly yellow tint to it, so I replaced it with a BenQ XL2411Z, a quote-unquote “gaming monitor.”
It’s fucking amazing. With blur reduction turned on at 120Hz, there is literally no blur at all. In fact, watching a constantly panning shot to test it out actually made me slightly nauseated. No type of display has ever made me nauseated before.

It’s really hard to find a nice, minimalist case to build a gaming PC in. So many of the mid- and full-ATX form factor cases are decked out with stupid gamer swag like LEDs and windows and shit.
