Moar lenses!
Just ordered this new for $180 instead of $220.
Finally got around to putting up some posters I got a couple weeks ago:
A complete Mtec half leather interior for my car. Not my picture, but I went from;
grey cloth standard seats
grey headlining and pillars
no armrest…to
leather armrest
all black trim
Mtec sports seats.
Man…they’re so comfy, and the lumbar support is amazing. And if it’s possible, I think you sit even lower
Also some new lights, on the left of the picture;
Notice the lack of grills, because I got some spare ones, I’m going to spray my chrome black like these;
And I sold two lenses, and got this;
Haha, yea, my 55-300 suffers from shameful quality and speed also. It’s fairly decent at mid-range, but at full 300mm nothing is truly sharp (and at 55 it doesn’t even come close to the quality of the 50 prime).
I’m slowly starting to learn how to deal with the 50 on a DX sensor (involves a lot of shuffling around to get the right framing), but I do want to get the 35 at some point, I just can’t justify putting another €200 on the table for yet another lens right now.
One day, though. One day!
Enjoy that piece of glass, I say.
cheap long lenses are just garbage unfortunately.
I have a cheap Sigma 50-200mm and every image looks like someone smeared butter across the lens.(it’s clean though and no matter how you focus)
I hope one day I’ll earn enough to buy some proper lenses.
Anyway, not long ago(maybe a week) I bought this:
Got one of these in black.
1.0l turbocharged petrol engine, at 125BHP with overboost. Goes like a stabbed rat for a hatchback.
Time to up my audio game.
Even my crappy 2.0 speakers sound better (testing them out with some Trentemoller at the moment). When my new Sennheiser phones get here is when this thing should really shine, though.
Lol, this card came with two fold-out posters that have a picture of the card on it and a shiny, gold-covered booklet - bound with gold string - showing its audio test results.
Got myself one of these beautes.
So my phones came today (Sennheiser HD598s). I was expecting to be blown away by the audio card/high end headphone combo, but, uh… I mean, they sound good, but they’re just, uh, headphones. So far I’m just listening to music, though. Maybe the digital surround will blow my mind when I play games later. Or maybe they need to “burn in,” a term the audiophile reviews I read were throwing around. Or maybe my tastes aren’t refined enough to appreciate it. Or maybe I just spent $350 on an upgrade whose benefits are greatly overstated. Hmmmmm.
Ding Ding Ding
all of the above (except burn-in)
Burn-in DOES help. Although some people say it’s just a matter of your ears getting used to the sound signature of your new headphones, it’s a bit of both things: sure, the more you listen to a new EQ the more you’ll like it, but I’ve seen several comparisons between the frequency response on a pair of headphones with no use, and the freq. response of the same pair some time later, and the results were different. Whether your ears can notice that difference is another matter.
Audio gear equals diminishing returns as you spend more and more. There is a world of difference between $10 and $100-200 headphones. There’s a much smaller difference between a $100-200 pair and a $300-400 one. An even smaller gap between $400 and $600. And so on. I don’t know what was your previous equipment though.
My previous equipment was crappy 2.0 Creative speakers.
These were $250 phones that I got for $190 during Black Friday. They definitely sound better, just not the heaps better than I was expecting. I’m glad I stuck with this model - these are Sennheiser’s best mid-range headphone; the next model up is their “worst” high-range headphone, and it’s $400.
Shaggin’ Wagon.
Nice boobs.
Ahaha, it’s so nice that I didn’t even care about the unflattering light.
Here, have a shinier picture:
nice car comrade
I don’t like big fancy cars. Or cars at all. Or big fancy things at all. They’re expensive, noisy, take up space, and stink up the air Not to mention they tend give their owners a false (isn’t it always false?) sense of superiority and/or status. Mostly they serve to further separate the “haves” from the “have-nots”./rant
Bur, do you ever have a positive thought?
