Pickup and Throw Combat?

BTT: If you are including “pick-up-and-throw”-combat, how about the bigger the object, the bigger amount of hp’s your enemy npc’s loose?

How about the one in xen??? i heard that you where supose to avioid him, but i just jumped up on the mountin and started burning him with the gloun gun! I have no idea how to avioid him…(sorry for my bad english im not american):freeman:

Because that’s very, very lazy physics. Damage depends on force, which is a function of mass & speed.

And the word loose & lose are two different things.

Let’s assume the player throws every object with the same speed/momentum, the damage made with a monitor thrown would be indeed different from damage made with a can.

But damage from a large cardboard box would be less. My point is that the source engine already calculates physics damage & does so more accurately than we’re describing.

I guess the HEV suit does give you the strength to pick up enemies like it was nothing. It’d be cool to be able to corner an enemy against a railing, and just pick them up and throw them off XD.

Besides, you need the long jump module for further distance, so increased strength its not inherent in the suit.
