PC vs. Mac

I implied that your question was hypocritic since you’ve implied that W7 pin feature can do something that dock cannot. Nothing else :s hrug:

I never implied that. If you read my posts, you’d see that I was actually implying that the “dock” feature was nothing special and that Windows has had a “dock” equivalent for over 10 years. Unless you’re referring to my joke post from the Big Lebowski where I disagreed with your assertion that Windows 7 did less than the dock (“It’s totally same if not less.” --ODB ). So, I asked afterwards, if the Windows 7 did “less”, then what does the dock do that Win7 cannot.

I didn’t imply either was “better”. You did. So, now I’m waiting for the answer which I now doubt will ever come. But, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Well, to be fair, the concept of a dock was used before NeXTSTEP (which later became Mac OS X) ─ in an early version of RISC OS named, IIRC, Arthur OS.

:fffuuu:

Every time I come back to an apple thread the points on the apple side are so absurd I just tell myself, “surely one day they will realize how dumb that sounds” and I leave, except today, today I felt like writing this.

These discussions are useless anyway. You pick the OS that fills your computer needs the best and that’s it.

Yeah, it’s a matter of taste.

I’m following a live blog of the WWDC 2010. I feel so geeky :<

Oh shit I didn’t know about it.
I’m not a NERD after all. Whenever was I, anyway.

New iPhone has retina display, allows 4x the amount of pixels than a normal display. 326 ppi.

Where is garthbartin and his ZuneHD?

Anything that can’t run a 32bit OS is gay.

Everything can run a 32-bit OS

EDIT: lol, nevermind. it looked like you type can instead of can’t, which makes a huge difference :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m fairly OS agnostic with systems running OSX, Windows and Linux. My main demands are on hardware so I’m a DIY desktop fan and for laptops I switched to only Thinkpads five years back and have been extremely happy with that decision.

Never found any real difference in stability between OSX and Windows, I’ve crashed em both about equally

Performance… more of the same, especially these days since they all run the same hardware. Apple doesn’t make a desktop that suits my needs for a reasonable price however (I’ve been running a quad core with 8GB RAM for a couple years) so even if I wanted to buy one from them I wouldn’t find what I’m looking for.

I have bad nightmares about OS-pre-X.

well, talk was about the features.

Indeed. They should just stop making 32 bit apps and games, and then let the fags who still run old 32 bit cpus figure that out for themselves.

I mean, how old a CPU has to be not to be able to run 64 bit os?

Not too old actually.

They all copy off each other.
