I logged into my paypal account to find that the credit card and checking account info was WAY old. I updated both, but now I cant figure out how to send money to someone with the updated credit card. It keeps telling me I have to wait for it to verify my bank checking account.
I dont WANNA pay with my bank checking account, I wanna pay with my credit card. Am I missing something here?
Paypal needs to verify your address. It’ll charge you like $1 and on your next credit card statement it will have a 4-digit code. You need to enter this code on the website and you’ll be verified.
It’s to make sure that the adress on your card IS your real address

I will just wait for them to get done verifying my bank info. It just seems so stupid. Everywhere else on the internet you can purchase stuff as long as you have the credit card number on the front and the auth code on the back.

Yea the 4digit code annoyed me too, they remove some money from your credit card, you can check it if you have an internet bank account, you can find the 4digit code there.
other sites are often a one time payment, having address security would be extreme for them.
People actually store money on paypal, and the money sent to them stays with em till you use it, as a result they need to make double sure that you are the correct owner of said card.
