Papercraft

Jeannot, That would be a very taxing project on my printer (considering my computer is mostly black) but it wouldn’t be out of the range of Papercrafting.

UPDATE TIME!

Finally got the Hood assembled and put on the Ecto-1 (you can’t see it, but there are also Tiny fins on either side of the Hood)

Also got started on the Roof-mounted Ectoplasmic energy Dectection equipment rack (the Greebles on the roof of the Ecto-1) and the lightbars.

I will likely Give this Build of Ecto-1 to my Half-Brother

I have no idea how you can be careful enough to make something that well that small.

The answer: practice, Practice, Practice, patience, and some Really tiny Tweezers.

It’s That Time again!
Update Time!

I got both lightbars Assembled and Mounted
Got a few of the Greeble-mounting boxes glued in there
That Yellow Cylinder with the Dual Radiation symbols is new
Also assembled and mounted the Ladder

A little Note
I’ve been Looking around the ghostbusters fansite gbfans.com and the Yellow cylinder seen on this model is Actually supposed to be a dull green PVC pipe without radiation symbols and a warning sign half-way on the front half of the pipe

I prefer the yellow with the rad signs

All right, Update Time
New Parts:
Satellite Dish
Freon Tanks (X2)

The pair of Yellow tanks on the Full-size Vehicle are Freon Tanks Probably used to cool the Complex Electronic Doodads on the Ecto-1
Don’t quite know why there’s a Satellite Dish there though…

A little Note, These Freon Tanks are Approx 2.4 cm long by approx. .5 cm wide
the dish is about 1.5 cm across

OH YEAH! It’s UPDATE TIME!
Finally got this baby (mostly) finished (still got some Wiry bits to place but I’ll save that for later)

First, the rear quarter panel passenger side and the “Ectoplasmic Residue overflow drain”

Next, an overview of the Greeble-pack. (man, those small parts are a BITCH to make)

I’m going to take a break from Papercraft for a while but, fear not BM forumgoers, for my next project will interest Star Wars fans

keep up the awesome work!
i got a question for you, i browsed a page you linked to (https://www.papercraftmuseum.com/museum/?cate=Game-Half-Life)

anyways, is this one real?
https://www.papercraftmuseum.com/half-life-suit/
looks pretty fake to me :stuck_out_tongue:

That is incredibly awesome.

EDIT: Jerry, why wouldn’t it be?

oh yeah, apparently Chamoo has a few that were once apparently available but have since vanished
This and his Gunblade are the only two I know about.

Holy shit that Pulse rifle is freakin’ awesome man! DO WANT!

I personally want a combine pulse rifle.

Bricks would be shat if such a complex thing were ever made in paper.

Judging by the complexity of many models, I suspect it would be doable, if only buildable by those who have spent their lives building paper models.

If you think my Pulse Rifle is complex. The Designer of said paper Model, Jan Rukr, is working on an extremely Detailed 1:430 scale Model of the USS Sulaco from Aliens.

Said Model is said to be 1.7 meters in length when Finished.

He has been working on it since January of Last year
Check out his Progress

That is just incredible. And probably a major cause of deforestation.

hey guy i have just started to papercraft and i was wondering what is the best glue to use because when i started i used super-glue and come to fine that was a bad idea…because it was to runny and it bled really bad, however it dryed very fast. so i did some research and started to use ‘‘instant Krazy kraft glue’’ but it is runny and it bleeds too and it takes forever to dry. So im here to ask what glue should i be using and where to get it btw my price limit is 15 buck
so if anyone could get back to me it would be amazing

you should use Aleen’s Tacky Glue, you can find it at most crafts stores, Trust me I’ve been using it for a few months and it works like a charm. After a bit of use it’s VERY thick. In the beginning (first few weeks) you should apply it with a Toothpick.
A little advice, NEVER use super glue unless you want a mangled mess of Tweezers and paper.

ya…i kinda figured that ou after glueing my fingers together a dozen time…can i get that at walmart or walgreens?

I actually found the Bottle I Currently use (three months and counting) at Wal-Mart in their Crafts department for less than ten dollars if I remember Right.
they come in small bottles, Large Bottles, and Variety Packs. I’d go with the variety pack.
