Papercraft

whats the name?

D:…
I really have no words…

I’ll post Pics of my Recent projects tonight. Got a Half-finished AT-AT, a Gentlemanly Pikachu, and another one to show you guys.
EDIT (Later)
I can’t seem to find my camera to TAKE pictures with.

So, Sorry guys, I guess I can’t give you that update I told you about (and I had them all lined up for it too :frowning: )

Nice work. I especially liked that Glock, fits HL perfectly.

Anyone know where I can find a good AT-AT?
I’ve only been able to find one and it ain’t the finest paper model I’ve seen…

Here’s the one I’m Building. When Printed on Letter size cardstock it stands about 17.5 cm tall (depending on whether you want to bend the knees. Its Impressively detailed but the “instructions”(one Page, side view) leave a lot to be desired.

The designer, Shunichi Makino, has designed a number of Impressive models and paper figures (even some paper robots). If you’re stuck on a part, you’ll want to refer to the display pic on the site that shows two completed models.

Hey, that is the exact same model I am working on. He also made the AT-ST I made earlier. Pretty cool stuff. Also, you do want to bend the knees because the straight legged one looks like a retarded animal.

Yeah, that’s one I found… One thing does bug me on it and that’s the secondary armament…

Holy crap, I found another mind-bogglingly small model i built.
I’m gonna have to show you guys Just how freakin’ small it is when I find my camera.

I’m just working on that dropship from the Sulaco Project… Except I’ve got it printed in B&W because my printer’s out of ink, so it’s a bit of a challenge to make out the parts. On top of that, it’s endless hilarity ensuing from the lack of quality paper. I’ve had to print it on standard printer/copier paper. For those working with card stock, it’s a lot like working with tissue paper.

I’ll post pics if I manage to put it together.

good luck!
If you need some structure on the landing gear, try coating the Parts with Glue and letting them Dry before putting them on to the dropship.
Hell, working with straight office paper is, in itself, a pain in the ass due to it’s low strength.
Wish I could find my camera…
EDIT
I have a feeling, That my Digital camera has been stolen (alongside my copy of Pokemon LeafGreen) by my kleptomaniac sister. I have a foolproof way of finding out whether or not it is, though; ask the person who she allegedly borrowed the copy of leafGreen from, if he did, indeed, lend it to her.

Keep getting creases in this the paper, not even sure how they’re getting there. Probably from convection currents in the air or something.

Where you glued? Because I’ve seen that happen. Not sure why.

Working on my first papercraft. w00t!

Oh. My. God. I WANT THAT!

I think your problem, m4rek, is that the glue is Permeating the paper thus expanding the Gaps inherent in the paper’s structure. (Same thing happens to wet clothing for the same reason)

I’ve found the problem to be much simpler… The creases are from inadvertently pressing the paper against an edge on my scissors, which I’m using to do my folds (lack of a steel rules sucks so much). I tend to press it against another edge in addition to the one I’m folding along… Fat fingers :S

Here is the one in the image. However there is also this one that I have printed which is a little larger and more detailed, but also more complex. I figured I would start simple first. >>

'kay gentlemen, I finally found a way to get my pictures.
First of all, My digital camera has been stolen.
I just remembered that my DSi has a built-in camera, and it can connect to fag-I mean Facebook. SO, long story short; my build pics in the coming weeks are going to be Really Low-res (camera’s resolution was 13 Mpx DSi is 1.3 Mpx)
anyhow

in this pic you can (barely) see the AT-AT(other three legs need assembled), Pirate Dave the Lego figure, a 1:50 clone troop, my gentlemanly Pikachu, an M40 grenade for the Pulse Rifle(actually came with the model), and Ham Headz Egon Spengler.
EDIT
Dammit, that’s small.

There’s small, and then there’s avatar sized!
