Osama Bin Laden is dead

But does that actually matter? Eye of the beholder, etc.

Ah well, not that I really care about the fate of Osama. I merely find it hilarious that the same people that called others “primitive” and “inhumane” for celibrating the deaths of people, are now organising public parties, waving American flags, chanting “USA! USA!” and celibrating the deaths of people.

The whole situation is retarded and reeks of ill-deserved pride.

You’re right. It’s exactly the same thing. OBL, people just living their lives…exactly the same.

Ah well, the concept of hypocrisy seems to elude you.

Illuminate me on how it’s hypocrisy.

“Omg, inhumanity! They’re dancing because people died, those monsters!”

10 years later

“Omg, humanity! Let’s dance because he died, it’s perfectly fine and not inhumane at all!”

What he did or did not do has nothing to do with it. If you’re going to get angry with a group of people because they did something against your morals (in this case: celebrating), don’t go and do the exact same thing yourself. Stick to your ideals, stick to your morals, don’t be a hypocrit.

O_o

It has EVERYTHING[/SIZE] to do with it.

Yes because terrorism turned Osama into a alien controlled monster. He was still a human.

Species-wise, you’re correct.

So the americans are the good ones and Osama/al qaeda the bad ones?

The people killed in 9/11 weren’t the bad ones.

Sry we are talking on two totally different tracks.

Oh gawd, look at what corporate media does to you.

:hmph:

Anyway, where are you people getting this idea that being a human being makes people equal? A person is defined by his species as much as he is defined by his race or gender. Actions are all that matter in one’s life, and people should be treated according to theirs. Osama is a mass murderer, and thus deserves death.

I don’t watch corporate media. But thanks.

-snip-

I knew what you were going to say before I opened the thread.

Anyway, the guy was a douche. I feel like the loose ends have finally been tied up. Not too thrilled with all the partying, especially directly at Ground Zero. I of course understand why there was celebration, but I can’t stop from thinking that this has done very little to stop terrorism, and is merely revenge. Which I am okay with. I like revenge.

I also think it’s hilarious how Obama got bin Laden without even trying that hard. Bush made based his entire presidency on the War on Terror and finding this guy. Obama finds him within his first term while being half as devoted? I guess looking in the right country helps…

If you think any of this is due to Obama you’re wrong. He merely signed the order. Odds are Osama was discovered by a group of experts who were also working during the Bush administration using the same methods with the same regulations and pay. Obama changed nothing in that regard, it only took a little more time.
