Original Xbox Live dies today

Just thought I should make a thread to reminisce on the good old days. Remember to download all the DLC for your Xbox Original games, cause they are leaving too, and you don’t want to go without them. So boot up your Splinter Cells, your Battlefronts, your Crimson Skies, your KOTORs, your Halo 2s, anything that you’ll want to say goodbye to, and have one last hurrah before the end!

I’m currently downloading all of the DLC for my old xbox games, but kinda wish I had Halo 2 xbox right now. If I did, I could download the 2 maps that don’t come with the PC version, and even get a free pass for the Halo Reach beta! That’s right anyone playing Halo 2 till the end will get a something special on their spartan in Halo Reach to show for it, and free access to the Halo Reach beta! Goodbye and good luck Original Xbox Live, you will be missed! :’(

I’m pissed, my 360 never ran original xbox games when I tried to play them. Told me to “download it again”.

I’m going to play some Halo 2 until the end, and if this stuff about the beta is true? I probably won’t use the code that they give me.

That sucks man, I’m guessing your talking about the Xbox Original Downloadable titles, I never tried those so I wouldn’t know whats up.

Don’t be hatin on the xbox, it has brought great things, such as Mass Effect, Splinter Cell, Gears of War and many others…

Yeah, my brother got it from Gamefly way back, and we loved it. Sadly I never really got anywhere in the story. Oh well…

Im pretty sure the xbox didnt introduce Mass Effect or Splinter Cell and Gears of War was later ported to PC sooo…yeah.

Mass Effect was PC, Splinter Cell was PS2/PC (can’t remember which) and no one cares about Gears of War.

Mass Effect was an Xbox exclusive until Bioware announced a port to PC 5 months from the Xbox release. Splinter Cell and Gears of War were later ported as well, but does this mean that they were created for the pc/gamecube/ps2; no. (splinter cell had ports come out for gamecube, pc, and ps2) All three of these games were designed as Xbox games, then some were ported to pc and/or ps2/gamecube, but they started as xbox titles.
