I simply love MGS on the psx. I think its the only good one imo. The story was great, and it was a new climax for gaming (just like HL).

So any MGS original fans here?

I’ve been playing MGS since the NES version, best IMO is MGS2.

Love all of the games, though I also think that the original is the best, though they’re all great. MGS2 was my least favorite though, I wanted to play as Snake :frowning: .

Yeah, I agree with you Kairouseki. I remember buying MGS 2 and I had no idea I would be playing with Ryden for most of the game.

Isn’t the series named Metal Gear? The original NES game was named Metal Gear. The added ‘Solid’ sorta denotates the transition from a 2d to a 3d environment. :expressionless:

I still haven’t played MGS 3 or 4. Ive only played MGS 1, 2 and the gameboy color MGS lol.

Metal Gear Solid was sheer epic gaming and I still have a copy of it… shame they stopped releasing for the PC after MGS2… Have not played the rest and won’t bother with consoles after PS2 now.

It was like a comparable to ninja scroll the manga film, but modern all the enemies had unique strengths and weaknesses and the plot was brilliant. If you have not seen ninja scroll go watch it now! you wont be disapointed

I love Metal Gear Solid. In my opinion it has the best story of the series, all it needs is the MGS4 engine and its a best seller again.

The part of 4 where you return to Shadow Moses is awesome, and the fight with Ocelot where it cycles through the fighting styles and music of the games was epic.**

The Twin Snakes was horribly done in terms of voice acting, the cutscenes are a little too over-the-top, and the graphics are only in the MGS2 engine.
