nVIDIA GeForce Titan Z - 12GB Memory & Dual GPU's

Got $2,999.00 stuffed in your mattress/futon?

I know that there are graphics cards that cost up to $1000, but one for $3000 is ridiculous.

Well, if you want to future proof your rig, this might just do it.

Graphics cards like this are often used in rendering farms, or by people who create digital artwork for a living. They’re not intended for gaming.

They still really don’t need to be this expensive. :s

Not a lot of future proofing with this one when the full DX12 feature set requires new cards.

True…

That’s understandable.

I agree.

Not so sure about that. Nvidia’s Quadro line of cards is the one intended for those purposes. The GFX line is mostly for gamers afaik.

Titans are kind of in between I think. The 780ti beats out the Titan and is a lot cheaper. It’s not quite a full rendering card but it also isn’t a pure gaming card either.

Well, it hasn’t released yet. Maybe the final version of the card will support full DX12.

I wonder for how many years will the owner of this card be able to max out games? Probably 10… In long term, this might be more cost effective for someone… But its price is still too damn high!

Not really… New directx (and probably OpenGL) versions will introduce features that will make it impossible for any current card to enable all options.

Now they just need to make it work on Windows 7 and I’ll be set. Would still prefer OpenGL though. Or even Mantle if Nvidia gets it working on their cards.
