Patronizing? I wasn’t aware I was. I thought I was giving my opinion.
maybe not intentionally patronizing, but you always over-explain with shitty metaphors or some shit
anyway, nvm
So I used to hate Dubstep, but this was back when the genre was undefined and it was just a lot of noise for the sake of noise (see Skrillex).
But as it has got a more broad definition of sound, acts like Nero have popped up and are a lot better in terms of structure and I very much love the sound.
I guess I over-explain because I feel like I’m not clear so I come up with ‘shitty metaphors’ because, I guess I feel it helps get my point across.
This is a problem I have, I agree, but it’s not intended to be condescending, rude, or patronizing. I just feel I am unable to make myself understandable otherwise. So, I apologize.
I don’t like dubstep but I like metal
I am probably weird as fuck
I’m like the only asian that listen to megadeth
You were patronizing people with bad taste in music.
Peculiarly, 16 hours ago I read this. At least your humor was not lost on me. I recognized it for all its drabness.
I don’t see why you say this since I can’t think of any reason to compare dubstep and metal.
I know an asian who listens to Metallica.
It’s not so wild of a comparison… much of dubstep and metal are realized as incoherent rambling noises without clear composition or direction.
Still there are differences. A lot of metal is great; especially “alternative metal” can yield well-composed fruits. Yet if any dubstep somehow does border on composition, it’s probably “electronica” instead.
The people who like it and champion the application of syncopation, unusual rhythm, and uniquely distorted electronic noises… simply haven’t heard the beauty of non-dubsteppy stuff like The Postal Service.
I think you need to research what ‘Electronica’ actually sounds like.
:hmph:
Thats not electronica either.
Stuff like this, part Trance, part techno, this is what Electronica sounds like.
Here’s one, I’m shitposting as usual. :retard:
lol, fuck yeah
I don’t get how its wrong to classify a genre into good and bad because you can do that with any genre. There’s good rap and bad rap, there’s good rock and bad rock. Anyone can do that with any genre of music, they all have good artists and bad artists.
And on the topic of Dubstep, I share the views on the genre that Collision does.
Tiki: what do you think of electro-swing?
