No Episode 3 this year

I’m sure they’ll add a few whistles and bells to the Source engine when Episode Three comes out. They’ve improved the engine with each episode so far. And what they meant was that they don’t strive for Crysis-level graphics, that doesn’t mean they won’t update the graphics at all.

I like valve’s attitude towards game graphics. I personally think extremely good graphics are sort of over kill and a waste of time. But graphics are an important part of immersing someone into the game experience. I think valve has found a good balance, and you can pretty much expect graphics to be above l4d2’s level  .

https://www.vgreleases.com/PC/ReleaseDate-106151.aspx I think is this is the release date

People toss graphics around like it’s what makes the game. I beg to differ.

I’m not a graphics whore and I agree that graphics alone won’t make a subpar game good. But it does immerse you into the game more. And I hate it when people claim that graphics are irrelevant to a game, these aren’t regular board games, they’re VIDEO GAMES, there’s supposed to be a visual aspect to them.

The graphics are just as important as the story, narrative and gameplay. No more, no less.

reminds me of people who always go on about how attractiveness is irrelevent in relationships and it’s all personality:meh:. 1 word: bullshit.

That’s not exactly an apt metaphor.

Personality contributes significantly to attractiveness, though.

and vice versa.

and I’m not sure I meant it as a metaphor, It’s just a similar situation.

An amazingly ugly woman can have the most sexy personality in the world, you won’t fuck her anyway. So stop bullshitting yourself and this forum.

Oh so because an extreme is true, something in between must be bullshit. Righto.

It’s sad that it will be 2011 ore later, we can play Black Mesa during the time, and the rest of HL Series, or other games:lambda:

Yeah but a great personality doesn’t mean jack shit when you’re so ugly you make the elephant man look good :stuck_out_tongue:

you are so right

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
