Nightmare house 2 release!

Yeah. That and he clearly didn’t have the best hardware to be recording dialogue. It’s made quite evident when [COLOR=‘Black’]He screams as he’s being smashed against walls

Hen Mazolski(mod leader), David Kingery(Voice actor and writer)

Still think the extended corridor with blood round the ceiling looked incredible.

Still scaring me shitless.

Seriously? you a youngian?

What is a youngian?
Im not scared anymore after I saw that terribly made rocking horse. It was made of brushes. Also it seemed like Fear after a while and that reminded me of gross Alma.

Agreed, I was more or less ok with the voice acting up to that point. I was ready to mute my computer by the end of it.

I loved the first one and the original first one was cool, too, and this here is even cooler. OK, it my use many cliche situations from other games and from movies but they all together create a great and scary atmosphere. I’m not trough yet (chapter 3 or 4) but what I have seen so far, I love it

I recommend you play it with cl_drawhud 0, makes it a bit more realistic and scary. I did and it actually enhanced the atmosphere A LOT. HUDs just aren’t that good in horror games.

Holy I just finished this mod and it is amazing!!! The ending was brilliant, they have some really good writers. Unfortunately I didn’t feel the voice acting and script was on par with the storyline. Too many characters were clearly done by the same person, and Romero sounded very monotone. Also I didn’t like the guys voice much. And many lines sounded fake. The level design was good, but the modeling texturing was fantastic.

For me level design was actually a low point in the mod. A lot of the rooms were bland boxes. They could have done with a few art passes over the maps. They still had a good atmosphere, but they didn’t have a whole lot of detail at all.

I really enjoyed this mod. No bugs, Ran smoother than smooth the whole time from start to finish, the surprises and scares were brilliant, the artistic gore and fear of the unknown really made the atmosphere.

I’ll have to admit, there where some area’s of the game where i actaully “OCD saved” and slowly turned corners with my pistol ready and opened doors along side of walls. I had it on difficult for the first playthrough.

Nightmaric sequences… IN a bloody condemned Asylum with horrible flickering lights and dark hallways… yeah, the atmosphere was my favorite part.

The axe model was badass too

I found a bug in the deep hall with support beams on the side where both walls get closer too each other when you walk from wall to wall. I got stuck in the wall when it moved and needed to restart.

At first, I was shitting bricks while playing the prolouge, but then I went into my “Why should I be scared of a game?” kinda mood, and strolled through the whole game without shitting a marble (that sort of ruins all the horror games for me).

Also, I can’t understand how can a mad scientist build a super hi-tech mind controlling machine made out of solid steel, support it with only a few wooden beams, then complain when someone with an old rusty axe is destroying his life’s work.

Same reason there’s an invisible weird crazy girl massacring everyone?

You mean Emily? [SPOILER][COLOR=‘Black’]Isn’t she on your side? That’s why she said “Thank You” in the end[SPOILER]

and then… [SPOILER] [COLOR=‘black’]RAPE TIME!!! [SPOILER]

Damn yesterday I almost got a heart attack at the scene where [COLOR=‘Black’]the room becomes smaller and smaller, and then you look up. Maaaaan I never jumped out of my chair before because of a creepy videogame. Can’t wait for the sun going down to continue the game, because horror games play best at night

I am however, especially fond of the ambient drum and bass created, the music in it is awesome.

I liked how it messed with the flashlight. That was quite nerve-wracking.

The mod was ok I guess. But some parts looked like they were copied straight from FEAR.
