No one has had the console long enough to know if the specific failure of the rrod is reoccouring in this new console anyways just because it has a different mechanism for showing failure doesn’t mean they never fixed the failure.

The funny part about that is, look at how well the 360 does even with high failure rates. Sure sometimes Sony makes more quarterly profits (the wii always does but its a different audience). The fact that it can do well and still RROD at the same time speaks wonders for other features of the 360.

agree.
my opinion is that microsoft should fix that error.
but they still have added 3 years of warranty to it.
and, the rrod has been more fixed with 360 Elite, and the rdod is just a more stylish way of showing that the xbox is dead.
