New Valve game to be announced tomorrow!

I can’t be disappointed if I knew it was going to be this beforehand, obviously, but I am raging so hard right now.

I really think anyone who’s mad about this is an idiot.

Actually, let me take a step back. I guess I can see being pissed if you’re a fan of DotA, since the sequel to a free game you like is probably going to cost money. That’s understandable. But anyone else? Go fucking cry. This has no negative effect or impact on you. The game you wanted be announced instead wasn’t delayed because of this; they’re totally separate things. If you don’t like it, don’t play it, but please shut the hell up about it. You’re being totally irrational.

Why do I have to keep repeating the obvious?

Waaah :’( Valve made a game that doesn’t appeal to me. Baaww I can’t just accept that not everything in gaming is relevant to my preference.

Don’t get your fancy panties in a twist.

Just because you can’t establish fire lines and fill your teammates with bullets…

Trust me, friendly fire is what most people have trouble with on AS, and won’t admit it. I make most of my friends take the telsa so they won’t be more trouble than they’re worth.

Is this why people say that Valve is a bunch of trolls?

I would be angry, except there’s certainly no requirement for me to buy it. I still trust Valve will get around to making good games at some point, but just because they put out one I don’t care about, doesn’t get me so riled up.

It is kind of a drag that L4D and now this are soaking up their otherwise-perfect catalog of games.

I honestly think that Valve is going to put off episode 3 so long that the voice actors will become unavailable, the lead developers will quit or die or something, and Gabe will work on games for a different company. Finally leading to the full cancelation to Episode 3 - only to have the series picked up by a sister company, like 2k Austraila. There has to be a reason that they’re putting their main game aside for lower status titles; Half-life is the foundation apon which Valve was concieved. I think they have no idea how they’re going to end it, thus leading in a lengthy amount of time in which they do nothing but plan and story board.

This better be only the first surprise…

im pretty sure the first was the mann-conomy

yeah, no. shut the fuck up, you don’t know what you’re talking about. if i wanted to shoot fucking antlions for an hour i’d play hl2.

I really prefer Half Life 2: Episode Three.

L4D isn’t a flaw by any means, but I wish they’d spend less time on it.

Yes, because I don’t know what I am talking about. Alien Swarm is a co-op game which is by default way more fun than sitting there shooting antlions. Face it, you aren’t mature enough to admit that its just not to your tastes.

And I understand people who don’t want anything but FPS from VALVe. However, I am probably going to get this. For the same reason I love other VALVe games because they put so much time and effort into making everything great. Even if there isn’t much content to be great (Lookin’ at you L4d1/2 and Alien Swarm although AS was free so who am I to complain?).

so co op by default is fun? lol, oh, ok then.

If you can’t have fun in almost any co-op game, then your issue is lacking friends not the games.

“lol u dont like the same games as me so you have no friends!!!1”

no, i don’t like it because it’s not fun, and it’s a shitty game. even with my friends i just wanted it to be over, it was horrible.

counter-strike isn’t VALVe’s game, it was a half-life mod!

herpity derp

you say that like it’s a bad thing

also fix’d

For some strange reason, I think that if League of Legends were called DOTA 2 they’d have lost interest because it would break their trend of 2 games if they made a DOTA 3.

Not very excited, probably going to try it, maybe. I don’t know. I do like the technological advances they are making with Source though it means better tech for their future games that I would be interested in.

I wish they’d spend more time on it.

I understand and respect your opinion, but the reason I’m “mad” about this is simply because it’s frustrating. I realize fully that it had no real impact on the release date or production thereof regarding the game I’d like them to release; however, it’s still disheartening to see game after game released, when each time a little part of you is hoping it’s episode three - but it never is. Make sense? No, they did nothing wrong. It’s just a frustrating experience.
