That was my thought too.
What the fuck is a meme?
Sounds ghey.
Like sucking your own dick.
That was the joke. Since we’re referencing memes and everything. Kevin Pereira had made a comment on AOTS that referred to Bing’ing something because no one actually uses the service.
But anyways, the meme came out of Skyrim, and it has already been overused? That’s crazy.
You can obviously tell I haven’t played it yet.
Yeah, its one of those repeated statements by the AI. Theres say 20 guards per town, and each of them say “I used to be an adventurer like you, then i took an arrow to the knee.” It’s so repetitive people took to it.
Well, that’s annoying. You think they could have varied the AI routines a bit. Either that or they did it on purpose knowing full well it would make it to meme status. That explains why X-Play had it in their review. I knew it sounded familiar, I just couldn’t peg where it had come from.
I’ve actually only heard it said twice, so it’s never been a big thing for me.
This is why I love the internet; then I took an arrow to the knee.
When you get reasonably far in the game, they have about a hundred different lines they could say. I’m with CTID; I rarely hear/heard it.
From what it sounds like, it seems it appears more often for those who have nothing better to do but to incessantly bug NPC’s.
Everytime I hear it it’s between quests. Like, early on in the game when you haven’t really done anything and there’s not really anything to do.
You know what I do hear all the time? “I find your wolfish grin… unsettling.” Even though I haven’t been a werewolf for about three questlines.
Memes are freaking lame. What happened with coming up with your own jokes and watching them fail, then making better jokes. Infact, I just came up with an idea. Why don’t we start spreading some stupid “meme” and see how popular it gets. A psycological project to test our influence.
I’m going to spread “Our Cows Our Honor”, I just checked it though google (with quotes) and there were no results.
Lets see how far my little project goes.

That’s not how memes work.
Realy now? I was under the impression that it would be possible to popularise almost anything. Look at Andy Warhol’s art, look at the videos of “The cake is a lie” being used in the news, look at Skyrims Arrow to the knee jokes, or look at the Pyro meme that has sprung up.
Memes come from popular sources and they occur naturally, organically.
Memes can’t be forced.
A valid point, but we shall see.

I read that with George Takei’s voice.
