Looking at the video however, I just hope they won’t screw it up with bad camera vs controls movement, which is the death of too many console games.

That looks like a lot of fun. The 2D ones were the best. 
God, I remember playing MK3 Ultimate on my friends Sega megadrive 2. 16bit POWERRR!!! We were fuckin’ addicted to that game. This looks pretty awesome actually, could be fun on the interwebz.

There were MK games on the PC up until MK4, then they just didn’t make anymore MK games for the PC.

Just watched the trailer and holy mother of Raptor Jesus, if they make this into a feature-length film, I would watch it.
Even if Jax, Sonya, and Johnny Cage aren’t in it (those three sucked anyway)
I think it would do better in theaters than any of its predecessors.

Jax does indeed suck.
Kabal, now he’s a champ. He’s one of the three things that MK3 did right (Kabal, Cyrax and Sektor).
The only Reason I say that Jax, Sonya, and Johnny Cage suck is because they didn’t have abilities that really stood out.
Jax just had an overabundance of muscle in his upper-body (sometimes the arms were Robotic), Sonya was Eye candy, and if I had a dime for every time Johnny cage (when I played) was Fatality’ed, I’d be a few bucks richer.
Whereas Raiden, Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Liu Kang,and Reptile all had Extraordinary abilities that were beyond cool. (I know I just named off only the playable characters of MKII, available from the beginning of the game but that’s all I could really remember)
I particularly HATE kano, reason being, he’s a freakin’ cheater (guns AND cybernetic eye, I call Hacks).
