I am getting really tired of mini-DLCs (So far the PC seems to have avoided the worst of it). We do not need map packs with three maps in them and nothing else for $10. Also, thank god for Valve.

I can hear it now: all my friends screaming in my XBox headset on how “soopur fukin amazin modrn warfare 2 is.” Mostly they’ll talk about the slightly shinier graphics, but they will also talk about how the gimmicks from CoD4 got even more gimmickier in MW2.
People ask me why I don’t like Call of Duty. Here’s my answer: THE FUCKING KILL STREAKS! Specifically, the rewards for a getting kill streaks. In other words, AIR STRIKES and HELICOPTORS! It’s discouraging for new players who aren’t good at the game, and it’s really nothing but a big gimmick.
It’s a real punch in the balls when playing on the loosing side of a Team Deathmatch game, and to make matters worse you have a flying bot that can blow up/shoot you with perfect accuracy, giving more points to the opposing side. THAT IS NOT GOOD GAME DESIGN!
In Halo, you start a match, you pick up weapons, you try to complete the objective. That’s it. No air strikes, no “You can’t have the good guns until you get to Level (Whatever),” and no perks. And you know what? I like it that way.
