Even then, that’s not the thing that’s bugging people. It’s that EA sends your info out to third parties without your consent.
You gave them your consent when you agreed to the EULA

I’m just mad because I’m lazy, and going through Origin instead of Steam seems like an unnecessary step.
The “at least” was key there. They’d have to be if they’re providing a service such as this. Most people are complaining about shit they know nothing about, as is usually the case, because people like to bitch. It’s unbelievable how much some people complain about EVERYTHING, they act like Steam doesn’t do the exact same thing, but out of fan loyalty or just stupidity they act as if Origin is the exact opposite of Steam and act as though it is the greatest evil that the world has ever seen, when I’d wager that most of them have never even used it.
