Need New Gadgets

So my tax return this year was big enough that I should be able to afford to buy some new gadgets, but I don’t know what to buy…

I need an MP3 player that can store a few thousand songs recorded in WMA, and play them back in random. I don’t want to pay a bundle. I don’t need extras like online or video or any of that crap. I just need a music player for at the gym, and maybe plug into my car stereo if I ever get the wiring done…

I also need a satellite navigation system. Again, I don’t need a lot of extras, I just need to be able to figure out where I am going from where I am. I have used my parent’s Mio Move and hated it. Not buying another device from them ever. So I need something else. Again, not looking for top of the line, but something that works reliably.

Invest the money in the European car headlight lamps market.

question 1; I dunno, wma, get a ZuneHD?

question 2; TomTom make good satnav, does your camaro not have one anyway?

I will recommend you awesome new gadgets if you ship your old ones to me.

It has Onstar. I refuse to pay monthly for a service that I can get for a one time price by buying a separate device.

I don’t have old gadgets. That is why I need new ones.

Get a Tomtom.

If all you want is music, go Zune. ZuneHD probably isn’t necessary though, try one of the older Zunes.

in that case you just need gadgets

But I don’t want old or used gadgets.

I used to sell a variety of GPS units at work and have used many others. I bought a Garmin Nuvi260 (several years old now) and am extremely happy with it. My next GPS will be Garmin as well, no question.

Garmins are garbage compared to tomtoms. All Garmin does is recalculate, and the displays are fucking hideous.

[COLOR=‘Magenta’]HERE IS A NICE GADGET :

“old zune” as in… not an HD. A new normal one is what he means.

haha, I fucking love NigaHiga

I used to sell TomToms as well and my mother has one.

I still picked the Garmin. Better reliability and IMO better interface. We had more TomToms come back than we did Garmins (and the Garmins sold better) over the 4yrs that I was doing the RA’s for the store + the following 12mths that we were selling GPS. Garmin is also much better to deal with if something goes wrong.

I use a Garmin, they’re excellent. Don’t know anyone that has a TomTom.

What wiring do you need to sort out for your car? I’ve had 2 aftermarket stereos with mp3 input, never been more complicated than fitting any other stereo

The stereo in my car is USB ready, and the more expensive model hs a USB adapter in the center arm-holder-dealy. So I’d imagine it just needs a wire run from stereo to anywhere I wanted it, and a fitting for the USB port to not look like shit.

buy an iPhone and get the TomTom app. i don’t think there are simple mp3 players with navigation.

also, just use FormatFactory to convert WMA to mp3, so you can add them via iTunes.

No.
