My idea for a Fallout 3 Mod

For those of you unfamiliar with the basics of Fallout 3, in the free roaming post apocalyptic world, there are “pre-war” Vaults accessible through game, which takes place about 300 years from now.

SO! Onto business! In some Vault, that would be applied when the mod is installed, you’d find nothing but computers. All with Source SDK. Once the player investigates what everything is for, an entire Vault Society has been dedicating each generation to the development of what is called “Black Mesa” for 300 years.

There will be plenty of Source SDK computers, as well as the occasional restaurant, and a Church with a giant Stain glass image of Raminator’s Profile Picture, and statues of other “original” dev team members.

(This is fake of course, its just a funny idea I came up with)

So, what do you guys think? What would actually happen in this “mod”?

I think this is a brilliant idea! And then even put it in the actual black mesa as an easter egg! A fallout mod in a source mod, brilliant.

I think it’s an awesome idea.
Also the twitter feed should be there: last update 110000 days ago
The vault should also be populated with the offspring of the current forumites, so that when you enter the vault for the very first time and dare ask for the release date would make them go apeshit and hostile. Or nostalgic, it’d be like the good old times.

That would be funny though. Selecting the option to say “So, when is Black Mesa Coming out?” Immediately makes everyone in the Vault your enemy.

And the only weapon that you get to start out with in the vault that you’ll be killing enemies with down a steel corridor?

It would be funny if it turns out that Black Mesa will only be available on a computer within a Fallout 3 mod as a mini game.
