I personally prefer the graphics of old games to stay old when I play them. I feel it gives them a lot more character. Like when someone shows me a screenshot of any of the older TES games, from Arena to Morrowind, I can say “That’s Arena” or “That’s Morrowind”
That’s not to say there’s anything wrong with good graphics though.
Don’t play black mesa then.
Black mesa is also changing the game up to make more sense, and updating the gunplay. If it was just a direct remake of half-life exactly the same with just better graphics then I probably wouldn’t care.
