Mods

What I like about that is the fact that he prefers his levels more vertical. So hopefully Ep3 will have a bit more “depth” to it :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe part of the reason they hired him was his intuitive and efficient way of mapping, making use of several horizontal planes and large vertical spaces without it seeming too broken up. And then there’s the whole designing-the-action-around-the-environment rather than the other way around. He’s leet at that.

i just finished Human Error, very good mod
will they make another episodes?
i think it is now my favorite single player source mod

yeah, 3 episodes. Human Error is also ONE of the best Source mods out there. I recently just got done playing The Half-Life Timeline series…

https://www.moddb.com/mods/timeline-series

I honestly thought it was horrible, but appearantly im the only one that thinks that. The first part was ok, the second part made me want to smash my face into the keyboard… and the third one was also ok.

Oh look, RuneScape: Half-Life edition. (not literally.)

Actually looks pretty neat. Really nice mapping.

Definetly. It’s a little weird though, hearing Catz’ voice (Eloise) say: “I really need to get laid.”

Oh god, I’m dying here.

I just can’t get over that atrocious turd monster they call an Alien Grunt :expressionless:

Yeah, I think I said something along the lines of “walking turd” in regards to the Grunt the first time I saw it, but other than that it was pretty good. Manhacks ftw.

Timeline was fun, though. A couple times I was hopelessly lost, but it was pretty good. The load in the middle of the bobsled run made it difficult to crouch in time to get under a tunnel, but it was still fun.

The Dear Esther Remake just updated with a so called “alpha” of the second level.
Every single screenshot looks like a god damn painting

Heard about induction?

Obsidian conflict: https://obsidianconflict.net/about.html multiplayer mod, custom levels, source and hl1 npcs like HECU and Alien grunt; it makes me relax while I wait for black mesa source come out

The Half-Life 2 Update mod is pretty cool; it updates HL2 with the OB effects, and it looks a lot better. It made it worth another replay for me.

I went to a Guildhall summer camp, and I tried out one of their mods, Weekday Warrior. That one is really fun, it has nothing to do with Half-Life, but it’s a pretty fun minigame.

EDIT: Just decided to take Dangerous World for a spin. VERY dangerous, especially with the early… events. Then “Sudden Fear” is kind of creeping me the hell out. I decided to quit because I was stuck, and heard a woman cry.

Ugghhhh Dangerous World is terrible
Visuals are nice but designers and playtesters were absent.

nice concept, the only mod i have that has not been mentioned… though i have yet to beat it :stuck_out_tongue:

This should seriously be a sticky thread

^ I support this.

The concept was indeed great and it looked very nice, but the control system was terrible.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
