I’ve got a question regarding this pistol replacement for Half Life 2 and the episodes on fpsbanana:

Does anybody here know how to remove the ennoying red dot floating around the crosshair? I love the model and reskin and all, but that red dot keeps pissing me off when I try to aim on longer distances. That’s the only thing I’d like to remove. I had it removed once, but don’t remember how that worked. Now after reinstalling it’s there again.

Wow, the foliage in that Dear Esther remake looks outstanding, haven’t seen anything like that on the source engine before.

I enjoyed Half-life: Visitors. It’s a shirt Goldsrc mod that parallels the main Half-life story. If anyone plays it and figures out what the giant explosion in the middle is (the one that takes away all of your guns and drops you off halfway across the facility), feel free to tell me.

^ Make sure the “LIBLIST.GAM” is in “Steam\steamapps\user@name\half-life\someplace_else”
It’s responsible for placing the entry in your STEAM list. Don’t forget to restart STEAM!

I have checked. LIBLIST.GAM is located in C: Games\Steam\steamapps\dansondelta4040\half-life\someplace_else

and I have restarted Steam several times now. Does not appear in the list. Any other suggestions?

Also: Playing DANGEROUS WORLD now. Does anybody know how to open that gate leading to the zombies right at the beginning? I am too noob to get it, obviously.

Komisch… create a desktop shortcut to your “steam.exe” and add “-gameidlaunch 9641356600555864134 -game someplace_else” at the end.
Try to launch it.

Otherwise you might remove your “half-life” folder in “Steam\steamapps\user@name”, then start original Half-Life in STEAM in order to create a new folder.
Extract the mod again into the folder. See if it helps.
