Black Mesa will be released in 3 months, 8 days, and 19 hours.
Personally, I believe it’s going to come out next Thursday, because that would be a really cool date to coincide with the 11 year anniversary of the original. Not based on any facts, just my opinion. I don’t frequent these forums nearly enough to actually have a clue about recent news. But I’m patient, I have enough on my plate that I wouldn’t get around to it until the end of December anyway.
When will the release date be announced (specific date, not 2009)? Or will it be just released whenever BMS team feel like? Like you’re going to give us a weeks notice at least yep? I got to book time off, so a week at least yep?

We have a winner. The devs should know roughly when it’ll be “good enough” to release – the question is whether they plan on telling us (my guess is no).
I’m pretty sure if they didn’t think they were going to make it, they would have openly told us by now. It’s too close to the end of the year, either it’s ready or it’s not. And given how some of the devs seem to be playing games lately, I’m sure it will be soon. I hope the 19th, just for the sake of releasing it on half-life’s anniversary. But who knows… realistically it will probably closer to Christmas.

Together with the new website frontpage, I’m taking the recent banhammer bonanza to mean that the BM team is attempting to make the website and forums shiny and clean and well behaved for the massive influx of new posters which will sign up when the mod is released - just one more sign that release is immenent.
