IF something happens today, I wonder how it will show up? The main page isn’t exactly a portal for news anymore. Or at least one they can update as easily as ye olde news page.

Black Mesa will release on November 19th 2008. They will do this by hacking the Internet Wayback Machine so that the link to download appears only on the 2008 version of the page.

The equation is “more wait = more great,” determining a causal relationship between waiting and how greating the game is. If the game is never released, it would destroy the world with its awesomeness, so rule that out.
But I for one am hoping they don’t release until at least 2011, to ensure that we all wait for the proper amount of time to make the game legendary.
I suspect the devs put a 2009 release date on the trailer for a reason though mattemuse; they fully intend to get the mod out by the end of the year, or as soon after that as possible, given any last minute bugs and so on…

Actually, this kind of makes a good point. I’ve been somewhat over-obsessing about the mod lately, time would go quicker if I were a little more patient.
