Mod of the year '09!

Its that time of year again… Time to vote for Black Mesa in the…

All righty.

I thought they were excluded due to over 9001% awesomeness?

Yeah, I thought you could only be voted MOTY once? Still, I voted for BM just now :stuck_out_tongue:

I voted… did you?

(of course you did!)

Yeah, they can only win once, but will receive honourable mention in the case they win again (like last year)

Well its got my vote!

I don’t see the point, as it cannot win…also it is not out this year. Probably the best mod ever, but I am going with Research and Development.

No

No offence to Black Mesa, but im voting for another mod this year, there have been some VERY awesome Mod projects about this year and while I don’t mind a dedicated vote, a meaningful one is even better.

For example?

I voted Black Mesa and Research & Development :3

Awesome signature. :3

To bad its not being released this year.

Damn, R&D looks secks… why havent I found it before now?! =O

Voted for both it and BM.

Let me make this easy to understand for you: vote for Black Mesa, OR I WILL KILL YOU!!

R&D was well done, but there wasn’t enough variety. It was basically a series of segments in which you first figured out the solution in an easy puzzle, then applied it to a series of progressively harder puzzles. Rinse and repeat. Sounds great in theory, but it got a little repetitive. I’m thinking of the pipe section in particular.

Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, and you should definitely download it if you haven’t already, but it left me unsatisfied. Portal, on the other hand, left me craving more, but I felt satisfied. R&D felt like it needed something else.
/offtopic

I voted for BM.

Do what you will folks, but according to their rules, we are no longer eligible for ANY of their awards other than the one that is offered to RELEASED games. Yes, I will vote for Black Mesa but that vote will promptly be put into a special bin pile and it wont go anywhere.

Meh.

+1 BM
