Mod of the year '09!

BM can have mod of the year in 2010. For now, I’ll go with R&D and Provenance.

Vote for something that’s been released! There have been some great mods released this year that deserve MOTY recognition.

R&D, i say.

Vote for R&D…

Also for Minerva: Metastasis (i know it’s old, but come on it’s awesome!).

Voted R&D as well, along with BM just because I couldn’t stand not to.

No hanging chads here.

Just to name a few, really these mods all excel at bringing new elements to old systems and even developing features that surpass most new games.

Cry of Fear… it is so good.

I’m confused. Why would you vote for a mod before it’s released? Like rating a movie when you’ve only got storyboards and you haven’t seen the acting/music/action/etc…

Saying this from a completely neutral standpoint here. I just don’t see why you would, nore why it’s even allowed.

There ARE awards for games not released yet. It is how we won the unreleased award last year. or was that the year before?

Longer than that!

2006 - Top Unreleased Mod
2005 - Top Unreleased Mod

It got an honorable mention in 2007.

Sorry, but I wouldn’t vote for unreleased software as if it were released, no matter how cool BM will wind up being. Just doesn’t make sense. “Most Promising Mod” or something like that is warranted, but not an MOTY.

Um, that is kinda what they have. They have an award for released as well as an award for unreleased.

Over at ModDB, the mod of the year competition is underway again, and surprisingly, they let Black Mesa run.

Vote!

We already have thread for this.

But how would one kill which that has no life?

Yeah, I’m not going to vote for a mod that isn’t released. Though when it’s released, it will definitely be number one.

Merging in 5…4…3…2…1…

They should have an award for ‘Best Developer Personality’ and ‘Most troll attracting mod’

Black Mesa would win by a landslide.

Voted for BM.

but since they can’t win again, I also voted for Paranoia and Dear Esther. and your mother.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
