mirror's edge crashing

so yeah; I basically get a freeze and no more response from the game at some points during the levels. definitely not a computer-based issue; it can handle everything else I throw at it. any ideas?

as always, help is appreciated.

reinstall

wouldn’t be the first time.

ok then if you don’t want to reinstall the whole game just manually find and replace the corrupted files… yeah reinstall.

if you really really want to play it, reinstall windows. probably some programdata/registry stuff

basically, I just reinstalled it the other day after a while not playing it. it was off because I had done a system restore due to problems with my PC, and I ended up not bothering to reinstall it until sunday. so any reinstall of the game (which I tried when this first started) or windows won’t work. I’ll try replacing the files; but those of you who know me are aware of my tiny knowledge of computers; if someone could guide me through the process it would be much appreciated.

hey, you can revert windows back to before the game was installed and then install it again!

did you read my above comment?

i did, but apparently i didn’t read it properly, sorry.
i am not very good with computers either, but it may be an error with the CD

@blackout all the idiots are just trying to be funny; you’re being trolled.

Try disabling Physx, that stopped the crashing for me and I had the EXACT same problem.

update mirrors edge. It’s a common bug.

I wasn’t. :expressionless:

kl thing, I’ll try that, cheers. trolls can get fucked as far as I care.

and that. thanks.

I have ATI cards and that was enabled by default. Talk about annoying. When I first played the game after that xmas sale last year, I got to that office level with the glass walls, and jesus… Talk about instant power-point mode. Took me a couple of minutes to figure out that’s what brought the machine to its knees.

ok, I’m gonna go for the update, until then, physx are off. thanks for the help.

I agree, I’m sick of trolls. we need Raw Bean back.

I know, but everyone else was. :expressionless:

remind me where raw bean went again?

I wasn’t :expressionless:

O rly?

My guess is he got sick of us and found something better to do.
