[MINOR] Hole in Undertow

In the small, isolated control room with the three working “secret” switches, one of the control panels has a brush that is slightly lower than it should be, leaving a small dark gap in the wall:

I demand a refund.

Now that you know about it, you will never be able to forget it’s there…

Even though I have no authority to do so whatsoever, I have fired Jordan anyway.

It’s a rat nest.

It’s where Dr. Kleiner keeps all the nudie magazines about the girls with big butts.

There’s a hole in Undertow where the rain comes in…

Wait.
We’re in a desert. Underground.

Got some more people you need to fire too!

  1. Whoever placed all the calendars in BM that show ‘December’. The inbound tram announcement states that the topside temperature is 93 degrees Fahrenheit at 8:47 in the morning with a high of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Those temperatures are way out of line considering the fact that all of the BM calendars show it to be December. The average highs in New Mexico for December are in the 50’s (Fahrenheit).

  2. Whoever made the ‘Minimum Wage’ poster that states that the minimum wage is $4.75 per hour. New Mexico went from a minimum wage of $4.25 per hour (1998-2002) to $5.15 per hour (2003-2007). There never was a $4.75 per hour minimum wage in New Mexico.

and MOST IMPORTANTLY!

  1. Whoever wrote the script and created the scientist in the locker room that complains about having to wear “these ridiculous penny loafers”. He’s not wearing penny loafers, he has lace up work boots on. EGAD!!! Fire this dude right away!!!

I am imagining Personnel being besieged by forklift drivers demanding their extra 50 cents, shortly before the rest of the administration personnel throw the graphic designer who made that typo to the mob.

I wonder if it’s a glory hole…

All right, I just want to give everybody a heads-up that this error has been resolved satisfactorily. I’d like to give props to the developers for continuing the wonderful OCPD trend of thinking of Black Mesa like a real facility and not just a collection of maps; they’ve not just made the control room look right, but also made it make sense in the context of Undertow as a water treatment facility:

“Confined space”, Hm?

That would be quite the fit…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
