Microsoft Removes a Plug From Ass

even when it happens, the service sounds shit anyway. A monthly flee?

To play a game I already bought in a different box?

What the fuck is that fucking shit?

Just port Gears2/3 and Halo3-reach and be done with it. They know that’s all people would play on the PC anyway.

“Windows 8 is going to be able to play Xbox games”

“You will need to pay a subscription fee every month… separate fee from Xbox live” > :frowning:

If this would be real there is no way in hell I’m giving Microsoft more of my money monthly.

What good games are there on XBOX? Never played on one.

Besides Halo it doesn’t have many good exclusives, but other games that come on PC or PS3 are often also on Xbox and play fairly well.

I wonder if you’d have to pay to play offline.

Isn’t it possible that this has been in the works for a while. MS may well have built cross compilation into their SDK from the start. The actual assets for the game aren’t 360 specific (any more than a word document is windows specific) all that may be required is a recompilation of the binaries.

Getting everyone’s PC to read 360 discs would be another kettle of fish entirely. Unless of course they have a steam-like distribution model for PCs and the monthly charge is to cover the bandwidth costs.

Why can’t they just stop making xbox’s and just focus on pc

Because Xboxes make them money.

Im not trying to sound smart or negative but looking at this from a business standpoint, it would be a really stupid idea if win8 would be able to play Xbox 360 games. It would be a good idea to play Xbox 1 games only, since no one buys Xbox 1 anymore. There are still people who buy Xbox 360 (younger teens figuring out about video games) and it would be potential profit taken away from Microsoft if they let Win8 do that, unless as someone else said there is going to be a new Xbox platform.

Btw i used Xbox 1 to make sure no one got confused if i meant the new or old Xbox models.

The console market is too big, MS will not stop making 360s as long as it sells.

I’m assuming they keep (ever-changing hardware) schematics in secrecy for a new Xbox, that they will only release in the event of PS4 coming out.

Halo and gears are pretty much it… Though all 3rd party games that are playable on the PS3 and 360 usually play better on the 360.

that’s the point of stop making it

wat

Some people like to max and relax on a humongous easy chair with a big bowl of snacks in front of an 80" HDTV and play their games with a big, easy-to-wrangle 360 controller.

a cheaper, cozier alternative to hunching over a keyboard/mouse and squinting at an LCD for hours on end, eventually developing arthritis in the hands and cervical/lumbar vertebrae

I mean the way to stop them making xboxes by stop buying it

Yeah, ok, I get it, you’re such a hardcore PC gamer that you want consoles to stop existing.

I only want xboxes to stop exist, my 360 broke 3 years ago
and it was not the first time it ever broke, so my dad doesn’t really co-operate to fix it ( he obviously doesnt trust me anymore with that thing, although the xbox is actually brought with my money)
Since then i have a grudge on the xbox and started actively playing pc again after a long time
They really fucking need to shit the fuck out of the xbox’s tech problem

They did. It’s called the 360 Slim.

As long as you don’t position it vertically, that is.
I had mine set up like that and the vents that were blocked by the table caused the thing to cook a hole right through my copy of Reach

My X360 is now setup so that playing for a few hours causes it to heat up everything around it to 30+ degrees C, good for heating up my room, not good for everything around it. It does this even when it’s just playing a DVD for some reason, spewing out hot air as if it’s supposed to be used on a hot air balloon.
