metal vs techno

begin gentlemen :freeman:

Don’t like either.

Depends…

They’re not comparable, as there are absolutely no similarities between the two.

Also it’s Electronica music, not Techno.

would you rather I make a rock ( or metal) vs rap thread?
immense sarcasm!

hard acid Techno trance dance.

minus the hard acid. and sometimes the dance.

actually, now that I mention it, I really want to hear some hard acid techno trance dance. anyone find some, sharsies?

I like/create both.

Sometimes I make techno/electronic songs with metal vocals.

Would you rather please get the fuck out of here and never come back?

Not sarcastic at all!

I think we all know my choice.

this

oh, I like this one too.

It was sarcasm in that I would be starting an unoriginal discussion that can be found on the average page of an aerosmith video on youtube.

Edit: Why do you you assume it is not sarasm when you can not even hear what the tone in which it is said?

OFF TOPIC: how do you make and add achievments to your sig?

Depends what I’m in the mood for.

House is similar to electronica so ill with that one.

You can’t compare Metal to anything. Metal sounds horrible, and techno/trance is awesome.

I enjoy both, though I’m more into metal. Didn’t really get into the heavier stuff until I heard In Flames.

Metal can be alright, or tolerable as I’d say. There’s only so much you can do with fast electric guitar and loud drums.

Techno on the other hand, is pretty limitless with what you can do with it. Who says machines can’t make music?

Don’t start this genre shit. Techno is just a general term.

I like music that has some thought and mastery of an instrument and/or computer put into it.

So that rules out about 60% of the metal and 99.9% of the techno.

I’m more of a “metal-hard-indie-surf-alt-dance-blues-rock”-guy. But with these genres as well, there’s a lot of talentless and bland crap. But not as much as most electronic music.

Only electronic music I can enjoy, is experimental- and industrial electro, because those musicians actually think about making songs, rather than just looping beats.

Techno’s not really my style, but I heard a techno song one time that went like:

Doom doom doom doom doom doom doom doom

And then this other part came in, and it was like…

Doodle-a-doom doodle-a-doom doodle-a-doom doodle-a-doom

And then there’s always some kinda high pitched noise, y’know? Or like a siren that’s like…

DOO-DA-DOO-DA-DIDDLE DOO-DA-DOO-DA-DIDDLE DOO-DA-DOO-DA-DIDDLE DOO-DA-DOO-DA-DIDDLE

And of course they have to put in the obligatory old movie quote from some sci-fi movie. It’s like…

The system is down! The system is down! The system is down! The system is down!

:retard:

(If either is done well, I like it. It really depends on the song.)
