Metal Gear Solid 5

Edited…just imagine the mods when the game actually comes out…the possibilities will be endless.

Konami’s Kojima Channel is going to be airing a sort of “direct” at 6AM EST (about 3 hours from now) with more info about MGSV (and hopefully a release date and a release date for GZ on PC). Kojima also tweeted an image reading “Metal Gear Collection”, which could mean anything and not even be related to video games, but it could also be a Legacy Collection port to next gen and hopefully also PC.

Edit: So I guess the only thing of note in the direct was this

Showing off Quiet’s powers, which seems to be cloaking, like everyone was essentially thinking anyway. It does have kind of a supernatural look to it though and I’ve seen some people saying she might be dead and a ghost. Seems like TGS will be the actual place with info like maybe a release date.

Damn, that cleavage sure is distracting and uncomfortable. Are you supposed to fear her or be aroused? Brain vs dick, tough fight.

Yeah, I cannot take her seriously with that top on.

I bet the explanation of her skin exposure is gonna be something really stupid. We all know the true reason though, to generate more sales from horny virgin nerds.

Favorite fan theory: Quiet = Chico post GZ.

Silly question from someone totally unfamiliar with the series: Why does she take off a pair of handcuffs after she lands?

I guess because she was being kept prisoner before being dropped into combat? We’d need to see the scene in context, I guess.

I think Chico is Jetstream Sam.

OH GOD MY BRAIN

But eh, it’s Sniper Wolf. Count on it. I mean, Wolf said she met “Saladin” (Big Boss) and learned under him, so it’s probably a slam dunk.

Makes sense.

So she dyed her hair? Also Sniper Wolf shows no eye rings nor cloaking in MGS1

Lemme guess. Nanomachines.

Nah

Show me a 4 year old with a rack like this, I’ll give you a medal.

GZ 1975 Chico 12
TPP 1984 Chico 21 (+ sex change?)

Not sure why do people find sex change theory so farfetched, it happens in real life and it’s not like Kojima is taboo about things.
Although even if true, it doesn’t explain the powers.

P.much.
It is a post MGS3 Big Boss game, after all.

If it’s Chico, he took that “you’re a new man” speech a liiitttllleeee too seriously. And not very literally.

Well, Kojima Productions has apparently responded to the theory, saying they found it hilarious but that Quiet was not Chico.

Also, MGSV conference in about 23 hours.

Edit 2: Demo they showed was pretty cool. Quiet is a support character you can use sometimes. It turned into a shootout but I’m glad the rating at the end was E for how much killing they did with no stealth. It’ll be fun to play that way sometimes though I think.

Also, fuck everything, the Metal Gear collection is a bunch of merchandise, not games.

Edit 3: MGSV = Alpha Protocol 2

Surprised nobody posted anything here during TGS. Anyway, the game is being shown off in Russia and there are some rumors that the PC release date of GZ is December 18, which sucks if true because that’s pretty far from now. They’re still rumors though. Also, GZ’s SteamDB page was updated today, about 8 hours ago. That doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but the last update before it was 2 months ago.

Also a Konami employee on Neogaf said that there were movements with the PC version after TGS ended and to expect news a few weeks after the end of TGS.
