Massive storm strikes France and other parts of Europe

Why was there no thread about this yet? Or isn’t France poor enough to feel sad about it?

Anyway, 52 deaths in France so far + a bunch more in the rest of continental Europe.

That’s terrible.

À tous ceux qui sont en France, je vous souhaite bonne chance et un rétablissement rapide.

This is why:

REVENGE!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

But seriously, this really is a tragedy.

What does the GDP of France to do with anything? Do you imagine you’re making some kind of point about Haiti?

He’s just waving around his massive ego. Pay him no mind.

I frankly don’t give a shit. France talks shit about the US all the time until it needs help. I say they can go fuck themselves.

It is bad all over I tell you. I hope the storms dont go on too long. Seriously folks… care for your elderly and neighbors when weather gets tough.

really? like when for example did France “talk shit”?

These are wise words one should follow.
I definitely hope that they make a speedy recovery after these storms.

lets not drail the thred by discussing the u.s. / france issues.

I am not surprised to hear of the storms across the pond tho. Our north east coast was hit hard recently.

I think we were taken a bit by surprise, thinking it wouldn’t be as strong as this. But now it’s time to help them clean and rebuild, even if it’s not as dramatic as Haiti or Chile.

Thanks a lot (and very good French  )

Yup totally. No tips, no effort in foreign language and sometimes pain in the ass :frowning: .

So when did my poeple asked for your help and where did you heard calling pigs and whatnot ?

Deleted posts make me a sad panda. =( I don’t really think it was offensive enough to delete.

But I do believe it’s pretty arrogant, ignorant, and bitchy. We’re all human beings, I think we should all help our fellow people in need. I know I’d feel bad if, let’s say, North Korea initiated a purge in which no one was left alive.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I didn’t hear about it until now, actually. That sounds pretty bad, though. Whole world’s going to shit.

Deleted posts were to save the rest of us from gauging our eyes out over the excelerated argument about why countries don’t get along. In short… derailed. And you got it back on the derailment. :meh:

Sorry for the derailment. guess i just have tunnel vision about this stuff. ive blown off some steam now. no need to train me. back on track. uhhh

French is the only thing I still remember from high school, and it was only 1 year ago. :’(

Le français est la seule chose dont je me rappelle encore de l’école, meme si ça fait seulement 1 an que j’ai fini mes études. :’(

too bad you arent going to send money to help.

The reason why it seems we don’t care as much is that it doesn’t appear that anyone here is from France.

Another reason that we don’t seem to care as much is because France does have the infrastructure in place to take care of its citizens, residents, and visiting aliens in times of crisis or catastrophe.

It’s that little thing that many seem to berate and attack: Government.

It seems that France is shielding us (Belgium) from the worst parts.

Huh, in WW1 it was the other way around…
