Check this is a april fools joke blizzard does every year and I could help but notice this…

“Multiple endings, each influenced by your choices and color-coded for your convenience! (Further epic endings planned for post release as downloadable content.)”

Remind anyone of anything?

No, mine imported perfectly as well. Well, maybe not perfectly, but my Shepard from 1 and 2 was so hideous the slight changes it made were actually improvements I was planning on making to his face anyway.

Still, I didn’t think the face it gave me was a big enough jump from my previous Shepard to make him feel completely different, he seemed like my good old Shepard the entire game.

my face didn’t transfer well either, a bit disappointed but i made a new face and just went with it. I gotta say though, the whole “they’ve taken a bunch of options out of the ME3 face-gen system” its really more of theyve just made different options, and actually more options than were in there before. Same thing happened from ME1 to ME2 but it wasn’t as noticeable. It is impossible to remake a ME1 face in the ME2 creator some of the options simply aren’t there. If you import it all works out great though. same thing would be happening with ME3 except the import error comes up and people act like its something new… same thing could have happened with ME2. still a screw up on bioware though.

also, “the only game series that allows you to continue progress from one game to another” is complete BS. While yes mass effect does it on a very large scope, arguably the largest, it is far from the only series. the concept wasn’t new even when ME1 came out…

i dunno… maybe i’m the only one that feels this, but i really think this whole thing has become more about bashing bioware/EA for anything they can as oppose to actually people being legitimately let down. dont get me wrong, i have long been unsatisfied with Bioware and EA both, but its all getting a bit ridiculous

lmao nice one blizz :stuck_out_tongue:

Just completed Mass Effect 3, was very worried about the end due to all the outrage :frowning:

However, I quite enjoyed it and thought it was cool  It did feel a bit rushed, think there should have been more options in the ‘talk wheel’! However, Shep was pretty messed up and likely to die very soon, so has to make a decision to end it once and for all lol

It could have been better, but think people over reacted? People seem to want to know what happened to each crew member, the Normandy, how each race got back to their home world with no Relays etc…did they miss the big picture? Our cycle was doomed, Reapers really messed everything up, but after us the next cycle will be free from reapers and organic life can now continue with no interference - YAY

As for the indoctrination theory, I think its complete pants and no way was that planned! If you think about it enough and ‘need’ it badly enough, you can make new ending and meanings for anything! Having said that, I do like the theory and will happily go with it if thats what Bioware decide to do.

Overall, Great game, great series.

Why would there be another cycle if the reapers are gone ?

Yeah, thats called closure, or epilogue. You can exept than when you play a Trilogy of AAA games, worth around 60 hours or more of game time.

Yea after the Anderson speech, but then, he gets up and run totally fine So I guess the light from the little lift thing probably healed him right ?

I thought the same thing, to be honest. How did he get back up? He was pretty much dead before that platform lifted him up.

Eventually something will happen, nature has its way…maybe krogan breed and food is a problem so they eat everybody else! Then a plauge wipes them out…next cycle happens

It may be nice, but its also nice to leave it open to what ever you want it to be. Would it not be boring to watch 30 mins of in game avi movies of what each character ended up doing. Maybe a DLC that you play as a news reporter who interviews all the famous Normandy crew for their final input lol - maybe crap idea…not sure I would even pay for that actually. The Normandy crash landing on planet was a bit pants though!

Adrenalin burst!

Also why do people think shep is bleeding in same place as were TIM made shep shoot Anderon. Is this just not coincidence. I noticed after you are hit by reaper anti-ship killer laser beam that you also got shot once by that last reaper construct just before jumping in the beam. Maybe thats the shot you are bleeding from?

I can see why people dont like ending, but I was ok with it :retard:

Also - side note - Is ‘Letter boxing’ not the best sport ever! This ‘alone’ made the game worth every penny!!!

There is no ‘cycle’, anymore. The Reapers are gone, destroyed or otherwise. How the current alien races survive is unknown if they survive at all considering the Mass Relays are destroyed, but there’s no cycle anymore.

I don’t think so. It’d be more closure than your party members crash-land on a planet and you don’t know what’s going to happen to them. What, are they gonna live like Tarzan? Hunt animals down, build wooden treehouses and go swimming in rivers while their clothes are taken by alien monkeys? They never tell you what happens to them, it’s just ‘Ohh they crash land on a planet! …The end!’

One, Shepard was shot in the right shoulder, not in the gut. Shepard was forced to shoot Anderson in the gut. In line with the indoctrination theory, shooting Anderson was like shooting the part of his mind that wasn’t indoctrinated. I still don’t get the logic behind Shepard bleeding like Anderson, it’s not like shooting Anderson in his mind somehow made Shepard shoot himself irl but whatever.

Two, it makes more sense since the other line of logic would be that somehow Shepard just has a wound in his stomach…for some reason. Unless his hand is covered in blood from his shoulder wound I have no freaking clue. But see that’s why we need more explanation. They focus on things that make no sense, so that’s where the indoctrination theory comes in. It explains that those things that make no sense actually have reasons. I don’t know what to believe, I’m more inclined to believe the indoctrination theory, but I’m gonna wait it out until the ‘content initiatives’ come sometime this month.

I watched the youtube video of the final endoctrination thing, its seriously nicely done and I’m impressed by how good this is.
But still, I’m pretty sure they simply failed the game. There is still a little hope when they release something this month tho.

Assuming the endings were real, do all the aliens end up living on Earth, since they’re trapped in the sol system?

Also which ending lets the Geth live. I chose ‘Destroy’ and I can’t remember if that little blue fucker said it would somehow wipe them out along with the reapers.

Gee, some people here are just crying babies because of 10 minute cutscene, pathetic.

I always use default Shepard so I wasn’t effected any.

No more mass relays means they are stuck there I guess.

Destroy kills everything IA related, even EDI (she doesnt get out of the ship at the end) the 2 other endings “save” the geths

Winged one, from what I obtain from this whole mass effect 3 ending thingy, if the indoctrination theory is legit, which it seems very much so, then yes, Bioware made an epic story, and probably an epic game (I didn’t play any though)… anyway as I was saying, Bioware made the story TOO good, too clever, so that the vast majority of big kids either didn’t understand or just found it too emotionally traumatising, because they expect everything to go their way.

(╮°-°)╮┳━┳…(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Please step back and think about how stupid your whole post it after saying that

Oh, one quick question - In ME 3 I missed the point why Legion had to die to give the geth true AI etc I know he uploaded him self, but dieing also?

Oh and one more question, why was Legion found inside the Geth dreadnaught being used as a transmitter?

Cheers

Well, it is speculation, and I’ve had the game severely spoiled, so it’s not like im completelly ignorant of it.

He uploaded himself to the geth “core”

The geth are programs, they use the physical bodies simply to be able to interact with the world, they don’t like that, all they wanted is to become a reaper-like being, but not aggressive.

So the Program called “Legion” merged himself with the geth core, he didnt really disapear, and he probably was very happy to do so.

He was beginning to be special among the geth and the reapers, acquiring his own personality, because of that he was better than the other geths, they were studying him.

The thing about Legion is, he was over 1000 Geth in one body. It was more that his body was special, not that his program was special. He even said in Mass Effect 2 that, when a Geth leaves their body to be stored on a server, their memories get synched up with the rest of the Geth. There was nothing about his programs that were any different than any other Geth, unless he refused to shut down and leave his body in the time between ME2 and ME3.
