Mass Effect 3 & TES V

It will don’t worry

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else think that the helicopter-ish human vehicles (in the ME3 trailer, while looking at London and the camera tracks one before the Reaper leg comes down) look similar to the helicopter-ish vehicles from Halo 3? Kinda worrying on the “look what I found down the back of the sofa” side…

I see what you mean, they don’t look very far future-ish

It could be more efficient to make a mass effect drive that spins the rotor blades instead of making a bigger one to antigrav the whole thing. Blades moving air is fairly simple and can be adapted to work with pretty much any motor.

^ Would’ve made sense that the reapers took out most of the advanced weaponry that Earth’s forces had to oppose them with. Even then I doubt it would’ve done anything to them.

After that the armies needed to dish out the older tech.

true, and i don’t so much have a problem that they are coming to earth as i do that it seems like the final build up of 2 amazing games before this and a great scope of the galaxy, different species, worlds, and everything else, then gets boiled down to “save earth”.
i can understand earth being a big part of the reaper invasion but in ME1 when the citadel was being attacked, it was the central hub of the galaxy and every major race pretty much, Earth, although important, is still just one race’s home world

Remember before ME2 came out, everyone thought it was a huge spoiler that Shep died in one of the trailers, but it only happened 5 minutes into the game?

It’s probably like that. You do something on Earth first, then move on to save as much of the rest of the galaxy as you can.

I was thinking kinda along those lines with the whole Shepard recruitment thing and him maybe having to recruit the individual races to defeat the Reapers, so my prediction is that the whole galaxy-spanning thing will be you have to go to specific planets to save key things for the races to get them to work with you.

i don’t think so, i guess “recruiting” races will be done from me1/2

Sent Quarians to attack Geth or not, Destroyed/Flushed Geth station, Killed Wrex, Saved/sacrificed the huge Asari dreadnaught in me1, collector installation etc.

It could be an Eden Prime type thing, you go to earth to try and rescue a high value civilian, Cerberus officer maybe, and end up loosing earth, the reapers use it as a base of operations and attack other planets while Shepard builds up an team and goes back to attack earth, or simply destroy the relay that’s there to isolate them?

I am shaking my room apart right now from watching ME3. I am shaking THE WHOLE DAMN HOUSE!!!

THE WHOLE HOUSE?

Looks like someone had the same idea as you. https://kotaku.com/5713080/mass-effect-scrolls-3-skyrim

Yeah, Mass Effect goes with everything is becoming fairly wide spread.

this, i like this idea of recruitment, and it makes great sense.

as for having the earth be at the very beginning similar to Shepard’s death, i think that would work out pretty well, but sadly based off the the description of “must launch one final attack to take back earth” i’m not seeing that as the case this time.

my speculation is that saving coll station would do something bad.

It’s not even that, it’s that those two trailers came out at the same time, and the voice-over for Skyrim basically told the story for ME3 too. It’s exactly the first thing I thought too after seeing those trailers (well, right after “omg holy shit yes yes yes”).

My only concern for this game is that we may not get any of the mass effect 2’s crew back as companions because they can die in the final mission.

I imagine whether you see them or not will be based on whether or not he died, much like Wrex or the choice between Ashley and Kaidan.
