Mass Effect 2!

:’( hi again, have many of you played mass effect, if so and completed the storyline, i suppose you pretty much cried every time you saw the teaser trailer:

and when you saw the most recent one:

What do you guys, and gals (not many here but have to include) think of this new game, its seems to be a lot more open, shows the dark-side of the planets etc and looks a lot more extreme.

Personally i cant wait for it to come out. :retard:  :’( :’(

I was somewhat surprised by the unveiling of Subject Zero… not sure where Bioware is heading with this. I’m curious.

Something that left me wondering was those “Quick time events” you can trigger during a conversion. Well it ended with a guy thrown off a rooftop… Totally unexpected reaction (Note: I didn’t see the trailer yet so…)

Just my thoughts.

At looks at the very least as good as the first one, so I’ll be sure to get it as soon as the price drops.

I personally plan to play Mass Effect 2 on the PC seeing that the Xbox 360 version kept on crashing because the disc was dirty/scratched even though I was careful with it. Of course, every time I cleaned it after an error message from the 360 fixed it. Still, it was a pain in the ass. So I’ll get Mass Effect 2 for the PC so that I don’t have to deal with disc read error messages. Oh, and I’ve heard that you might have to involve Commander Shepard in a suicide mission.

Whoa, it seems that they’ve certainly upped the amount of maturity in this one (lot’s of cursing). The Subject Zero character certainly looks…interesting.

Dunno if I want her in my squad. She’s powerful, but she also seems to be a bit manic when it comes to battle. I already have Wrex for that. :stuck_out_tongue:

I call that “immature maturity”

True. Mass Effect was definitely a mature game without the cursing. Indeed, it still would have been mature without the sex scene.

You win the internet.

Anyway, I played the first one, and loved every second of it, so I’ll be picking this one up on the first day!
Damn. Bioshock 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, now this, all within a span of three month. I hope I have the money!

And I hope I have my 360 in my dorm by then. My brother better work on getting another 360 and transferring his data ASAP!

What I want to know is if I’ll be able to change Shepard’s facial hair and learn tech or biotics after maxing out your stats. I’m kind of pissed that I have to replay the entire first campaign and dig up all the planets again when my game got overwritten.

I wonder if Wrex will be an available party member if you didn’t kill him the first time around. Maybe it ties into that new Grunt guy.

Bioware is being very vague about that. Very vague.

I loved Mass Effect. It was totally unexpected, I didn’t think it’d be that good of a game. I kind of just picked it up at my leisure a couple moths back since I’d heard some things about it, but I actually really, really enjoyed it. I love surprises

From the teasers I’ve seen it looks stunning though, at least in terms of visuals and story. But, I physically cannot wait, so I am cryogenically freezing myself.

See ya.

Definitely a game I’m buying.

That’s it… no more comment!

I loved ME1 and I cant wait for ME2, I just hope that ME2 doesn’t have the lock up issue that forced you to do a hard reboot.

i wouldn’t know, im playing it on my xbox.

Definitely looking forward to ME2, the first one had one of the most believable worlds I ever had the pleasure to play through. And I want to find out what the hell this Cerberus group is all about. There were a few side missions in ME1 that involved Cerberus iirc. Only worry I have is that the weapons will all looks the same…

Does anyone know if there are elevator rides like the first one?

I found an article that talks about the Mass Effect 2 elevator improvements:

Thank god. I always wonder why they couldn’t have put in more background information into those. The interesting conversations or news stories were few and far between.

Why the hell is this on the front page of T&G?:hmph:

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
