Loss of Interest in BM?

The frustration level is understandable. If that helps at all.

Not a concern of “Holy nutts! come out nowsauce” but I’m sure we all would like to know the answer to this; Despite the lack of updates/discussion, is the mod still in development, yes or no? all I would like to know.

Of course it’s still in development. Dar.

It calms my schizophrenia.

Black Mesa[COLOR=‘Black’]'s media is dead

I don’t think there is any doubt that it is still in development. If I am wrong… :fffuuu:

No more media which means mod is close to completion. :retard:

Yes. It is still being worked on.

all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa maall work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy all work and no black mesa makes jack a dull boy

In all seriousness though, although that represents my feelings after this long, we should think ourselves lucky that a group of people have spent this length of time to make the game right and to reach its full potential. We could have had people that made the mod in two years with the result of it being half assed.

Here is an update that was released for black mesa just moments ago.

It’s called, "Rollem UP Black Mesa!"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1YABGdai5k

Fail.

All I’d like to know is if it’s still possible for the mod to come out this year. Still, the mod looks fucking amazing nonetheless :fffuuu:

Nah, the mod looks horrible and outdated. They should swap to Portal 2’s engine.

Well… We are only like half way through the year…

You know, the lack of updates does kind of bother me. But I’m not going to complain. Sure I’d like to maybe see a random screen shot or perhaps read a sentence-long blurb about how they finished section such-and-such… (Of course one wonders what progress is being made when nothing can be seen to show progress) but I can do without. It’s free of charge, I’ve put nothing on the table, I’m not going to bitch.

I’ve got other cool games to occupy my time, as well as working to earn money for myself and other such real-life things a lot of kids seem to lack on here (mostly the ones that apparently dedicate their lives to video games and complaining about Black Mesa).

Black Mesa will be great when/if it releases, I’ve not lost interest as much as I’ve lost concentration on it. Every once in a while I check out the Steam Group, and look at the Dev’s steam pages; and it’s always nice to see at least a couple of them are currently “In Game: Source SDK.”

:3

what was that quote from Gabe Newell?
“a release date is delayed for a few months; a game sucks forever”
Ill wait, thankyou. this Mod will save me… 5 dollars that i wont have to buy HL, and can instead use to build a PC that can play this mod.
EDIT :s hit i was late… the subject was 2 pages back

^this. hahaha. Old joke… but it was appropriate so… well done.

Yes, but it was early december when they realised they weren’t going to make the 2009 release date.
They thought they could make it during 2009, now everybody thinks once again it’s going to be out this year, I just don’t believe it anymore.

They haven’t even given a release date and people suddenly start thinking they did? I’m betting some people will start complaining that it’s not out in 2010, even if it ends up being release on jan 1 2011. And no, that’s not a release date.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
