I know i’m not alone when i say this, and i know people have hated this. With much hope for the development team, i deeply hope that they have toned down the number of loading screens in BMS, because i know that everyone gives a groan of irritation when they are walking down a hallway, only to be met with another loading screen, not even one minute has passed since the last one.> While on that topic, I always hated how the music that starts once you activate the elevator in the “We Got Hostiles” chapter, stops right after you hit the loading screen!> I really hope that the BMS Team has dealt with these issues. Thank You.
I support the Music Continuation request.
The Source engine allows larger maps (allowing some of the original maps to be combined into one single map), so yes, there will be less loading points.
The devs said there will be much larger maps, so less loading points. However, last i heard they can’t do anything about the music cutting out during load screens, so it’s up them to time and pace music tracks accordingly.
We, or at least I’m, aware of FMOD.
It is something I would like to look into, but I make no promises.
I wish the music would pause when you pause the game.
FMOD doesn’t fix the loading screens or loading times though.
If you have a crappy computer then software wont be able to help :jizz:
Implementing FMOD would be heaven both for your Sound Engineers and us
Glad I bought a new PC then :jizz:
You could always download more ram.
Damn, I just wanted to make a similar joke
o hai
back on topic anyone?
Music continuation through loading screens is clearly possible, it was done in HL2, and when you quickloaded it would be back at the same part of the song as it was when you made that quicksave.
I should know.
I just beat it for the first time the other day
No, clearly not, because:
If HL2, Episode 1 & 2, Portal, Portal Prelude, HL: Minerva and Research & Development are running smoothly on my rig, will BM do so as well without long interruptions by loading screens?
:hmph:
=/= car
Too bad the topic wasn’t about loading from a quick save and having the music continue, it was about if the music would keep playing while the loading text was displayed on the screen (Normally it doesn’t)
