Let's Talk About Television

As far as series go, I’ve just finished House and Game of Thrones and I’m starting to watch Person of Interest. Doctor Who, Breaking Bad and Dexter are waiting on my HDD (probably will be watching them in the summer).

I also watch some UK panel shows like QI and Mock The Week.

two words:

FOX NEWS[/size]

but seriously, i only watch TV for cartoon network/Adultswim/toonami (all of which are within the same channel lol)
i may check out nickelodeon of they still have some Legend of Korra, but other than that its all internet and games and sports

I generally only watch things online, but I do like walking dead.

“Things online” actually includes a lot of TV shows.

Edit: also I’m rewatching the last episode of Legend of Korra right now. I haven’t actually seen the whole thing without it being corrupted.

Avoid the US version at all fucking costs. It’s a god damn travesty.

Imagine if TLC’s Gib arm- fake scripted camaraderie-close up of every fucking audience member as they laugh at the fake horrible jokes bullshit got into Top Gear.

Think Tim & Eric’s Crimbus special. That whole special was a parody of these exact production tropes. US Top Gear is that bad.

The only serial I watch atm is Fringe, and I’m still spotty with it. Love it tho.

As for other shows, basically the cartoon network suite. Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball occasionally (the show just looks beautiful, regardless of entertainment value; I watch it just to gawk sometimes) most Adult Swim stuff. I’m good with it.
Other than that, If I’m ever watching TV I just leave it on the science channel. Whatever’s on, it’s usually engaging.

If I ever want something to just play in the background while I’m working, I’ll play Modern Marvels or How It’s Made on Netflix.

Glad I’m not the only one that enjoys Gumball or Regular Show.

When I just want to put something on, I usually look to the Travel Channel or the Food Network.

Good Eats, man. Alton Brown is the kind of person who can talk about absolutely anything and be absolutely correct, always.

Fucking Fox put Fringe on hiatus for three weeks. They keep doing that, as well as putting it in the death slot, and wonder why it gets bad ratings.

Yes, but the only time I actually watch a television show on an actual television is when I watch walking dead every Sunday.

Damnit Fox, this is how you kill TV shows.

This is its last season anyway, and it’s only 13 episodes. But I wonder how much that had to do with Fox putting it on hiatus every other week.

Edit: Here’s the link

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fringe_episodes

Go and look at how many stretches of more than 7 days there are between episodes. I count 4 in the first season alone.

To be honest, I watched until about halfway of the second season and it had turned to shit by then.

Really? I liked the newer a lot. The whole parallel universe thing is great.

I watched one episode and some old dude said the word “vagenda” and I laughed for about a week and then I never watched it again.

Are you kidding? Walter’s the best character.

I don’t remember that part.

does sound like a Walterism tho

I just realized we have two really cool Walters in television.

They should totally do a Fringe X Breaking Bad.
