Via the CUUSOO website, the Portal suggestion has become a reality as a future LEGO theme.
I think that this could be very awesome.

And “Portal” tiles can be placed on walls and the floors.
Well before they must buy a license from Valve and invent a few different sets (and not only test rooms which are rather dull after a few times).
Ah. Had not considered that. Hmm… Hope it happens, though!
