4gb is considered a safe minimum nowadays, and if I may suggest a card it would have to be the 5770, which isn’t too expensive compared to other cards and would provide a VERY generous boost to your performance.
So… If I bought a the GPU russilker is talking about and 3 more gb of RAM… can my computer, with 2 cores, handle crysis? I want to play the mechassualt mod:retard:
Sorry for the grammar. It ain’t my foreign language.
I think that it IS your foreign language
At your resolution of 1024x768 you should be able to play Crysis very well, but note that mods can be more demanding than the game itself.
It looks awesome. Why do you want this fixed?
I’m trying to IMPRESS MY DAD!
My theory is that if he likes it… he’d buy more games FOR US. :retard:
The guns are more awesome if they are textured and not “silvery shiny”. It would impress him better.
and… thank you russilker. I’ll note that. I’ll hoard money as much as I can so I can buy what you said I should buy.
I guess you could try editing/replacing the material files.
4GB being minimum standard, I’d say 6GB to be on the safe side.
With his computer, though, its possible that his motherboard doesn’t support more than 4gb, although more likely than not the limit is 8.
Either way, look inside your computer. Let us know how many RAM slots you have, and write down as much as u can about the ram chip(s) already in the motherboard so you can buy a compatible model.
There are just 2 slots for DDR2 ram and an extra slot below the video card. There’s not much description on the Ram. I only have 1 Ram and it’s been tampered with by the people who reformatted my computer last January.
Than you for your time but I’ll just make their tech support diagnose my computer so they can recommend me what I should buy. I know they’ll recommend the same things you said but it won’t hurt to do this right?
Go to the ‘crucial’ website and test what ram is compatible using their scanner.
If my game fucked up and did that I wouldn’t complain.
