left 4 dead 2 crash

I just got l4d 2 and l4d 1 :3

but when I start playing l4d 2 the game crashs! and I don’t know the problem :’(
can somebody tell how can I fix this? please.

Go into the L4D2 directory and delete the autoexec. I don’t know if this will work since it’s a clean install, not just an update, but I started getting crashes right after I downloaded the new “The Sacrficie” update. This fixed it for me, and searching through the Steam forums it appeared to fix it for others as well.
